New game mode ideas? Comment your ideas for the devs to see!

So we have escort, capture and defend, capture and escort.
What is a cool NEW game mode idea you can think of? Something that would attract new and old players? I’m not talking about an arcade mode, I’m talking about an actual game mode that could be in quickplay or comp and please try to come up with a new idea, not something we’ve seen on TF2, but you can use other games as references. I wanna read all these cool ideas

“3+ DPS” mode where you can play 3 or more dps and nobody complains.

Then your account is banned for believing that a team with MORE people arguing over dps medals and deaths, while the team is getting stuffed into spawn is a good idea.

Maybe Hardpoimt from COD.

You get put on a KOTH map or something and every minute a zone appears on the map that your team has to stay in to earn points.

If you’ve played Hardpoint before you would fully understand

Now that Assault has been reworked, I’d like to see how 3CP would work.

Also Reverse Hybrid (Payload-> Capture Point at the end of the map).

Or best of all, MIRRORED MAPS. Point A becomes, Point C, left becomes right. Would effectively double the map count.

Some of these sound like arcade mode ideas.

They could make a KotH+Escort Mode (Hybrid 2).

The first team to capture the payload gets to push the payload to points B and C.

Although I’m not sure if/how this mode would work for competitive.

This would require new maps, because you need symetrical spawns for point A, and then the route for the payload with new sets of spawns. It would be more of a triangular map.

Maybe a variation of this would be used on 2CP, where at a random time one of the control points is available for capture and lasts between 30-60 seconds after captured. Each second captured earns 4 points to the team that captured it. Also kills would earn 3 points per kill.

I’m thinking the total points needed is around 750 per round. The game would start and about 12 seconds in the objective would be visible and unlocked. I think the side with the longer spawn should have a shorter spawn time.

I made the time between capture points random to encourage fighting because no one knows how long the point will last so running back to the other point at 30 seconds could give the enemy more points.

I tried to make this mode as aggressive as possible to encourage more DPS focus.

A dps only 6 vs 6 mode.

That sounds fun. I might try to build that in the Workshop.

Escape from Satan

A group of 6 people must destroy Sanctified symbols scattered around the map. If satan kills you, you will be eliminated from the game.

Payload Tug of War would be perfect for this game. Team fight is still around the payload, but you have to capture it and move it. Its a moving capture point basically
