There was a glitch that allowed for infinite wall climbing, so they probably broke it in an attempt to fix that bug.

Tested here in practice range, its working wall climb after double jump. They added some delay, you must keep holding spacebar to trigger wall climb

Youd think it wouldnt happen to a character that, according to the patch notes, hasnt even been touched since if they fixed the wall climb spam bug it wouldve made it into the patch notes.

same with kiriko. it appears that if youre airborne, the wall climb will not work at all lol

Was about to say this, the infinite (and silent) wallclimb bug from last season probably has something to do with it. The fix to fix it broke something else. And not just Genji’s wallclimb I believe, but all three’s

There are other updates that didn’t make it to the patch notes, like re-queuing for a match while still in the scoring menu now. But they did mention it in the Announcement patch notes posted yesterday. Just not in the official ones today.

Oh they did, but kept it secret. I never saw anyone climb infinitely though.
