New Experimental Patch thoughts

Not too good imo.

  • The Ashe dynamite nerf makes no sense. Why punish accuracy when they could have just nerfed the burn amount. That is what players whine about the most. Being on fire.
    Should have been a nerf to burn over time not the initial blast damage.

Its on a 12 second cooldown and the blast does less damage than a Junkrat mine that is on an 8 second cooldown. The blast also does less damage than a Pharah rocket with no cooldown.
Now it does about the same damage as a Zenyatta left click orb , and the Zen orb isnt on a 12 second cooldown.
Bad nerf.

  • Baptiste. Fine i guess.

  • McCree also bad. I wanted buffs to McCree but these are totally missing the point. These changes dont address the major thing wrong with McCree right now. That he feels awful to play. His slow fire rate along with his slow speed, loud foot steps and big head hitbox.
    He is suppose to deal with speedy flankers, and that is pretty much ruined now with the slow fire rate. He is always at a disadvantage against the heroes hes suppose deal with. Rolling in the air wont help that lol.
    And a bit longer stun is useless too because his left click is still bad. McCree players would rather use fan of the hammer. Even good McCree players rather use FOH than his slow left click now. And promoting FOH use isnt a direction they should encourage.
    He need his fire rate to be at least 0.46 or so. (still slower than before but faster than live)
    Bad buffs.

  • Orissa , Fine i guess

  • Hog , pretty insignificant. He is still much weaker than before he ever received the latest damage buff. When he had 6 bullets in his clip and faster fire rate.
    Minor buff that still leaves him weaker than before when he was bad.

So McCree running away iyo is better than him dealing with a DF based on aim and skill?
McCree can still take damage while rolling in the air. DF can still Punch or upper cut him while McCree is air rolling.
Its a QOL change more than a buff.

No, the issue is he can roll out of his combo. If we’re talking about skill here, doom is using 2-3 abilities and having to adjust his crosshair and account for movement while mccree can press a button and get out of the way. Mccree has always countered doom and now doom players get ENTIRELY shut down by Mccree.

They buffed the right heroes but the buffs in question don’t really help with what Orisa & Baptiste need.

How can DF NOW get entirely shut down by McCree with this change?
His left click is still slow. After rolling away DF will just go after him again and delete him. This does little to help his current situation and still dont see why you would choose McCree over better choices.
And what I mean by better choices I dont mean that those better choices need to be dumpster nerfed as well to make this weak McCree seem like a good pick.

You realize mccree also got a flash bang buff, right? So now not only can Mccree flash+fan or 2 tap hs, but he can also entirely escape doom’s combo

Encouraging Fan of the hammer use is a horrible direction to go in as i explained in the initial post.
Bad buffs that encourage bad gameplay and still leave McCree feeling bad to play.
Feeling slow and clunky.

I’m actually finding Orisa very strong so far with these buffs… I think the projectile speed may be a bit too much. But Ive only played a few games so far.

Ok, but he also can 2 tap now within 1 flash more reliably, which discourages FTH

I will have to test it further . I barely tested her. You could be right.

McCree needs a faster fire rate, there is no going around it. It doesn’t have to be the one he had but it definitely needs to be faster.

They’re scared of touching widow cuz we are in a dive meta; 1 nerf and she goes to the trash heap

The Ashe nerf doesnt make sense? Punishing accuracy? In which world is dynamite tied to accuracy, literally braindead spam ability with high reward and no brain at all, dealing over 200 dmg with boosts.

Some people smh…

And let me say one more thing, its not even closely enough to bring her down where other DPS heroes are. Pretty dissappointed they didnt go for more nerfs. She will still be way to good for being way to easy and unpunishable.

Nah, 0.8s stun lets you more reliably land double HS again. There’s huge value in that.

I have fairly good aim, but i would rather fan of the hammer now than try to land 2 headshots. Even though I can and HATE fan of the hammer.
And will continue to do so to give McCree at least a bit more effectiveness now that he is weak and feels bad to play. Why give enemies a chance to escape when you can just ez mode FOH.

By design. They want her to remain a top pick. The announcers in OWL like her. Heroes they like are made to be the strongest intentionally.

The Ashe nerf was intended to make it seem like they were balancing her, but without really impacting her relative power level.

You have to be accurate in order to do the advertised damage. If you are not the damage is less than 75. Burn damage stays the same regardless of aim and distance from the enemy.
That is why I said it makes more sense to nerf the burn than the blast which you have to be accurate or else the damage isnt as much as when enemies are very close to the expulsion

Penalizing Ashe for having a Mercy surgically attached to her is nonsesne.
Lets also nerf everyone’s walking speed because Lucio makes everyone faster.
You nerf the source of the boost , not the ones gaining from the boost.

Just like they didnt nerf Reaper during beyblade Reaper era. They nerfed the source which was Ana’s Nano strength.

She already received more than enough nerfs. What you want is to delete her from the game.
