New Cosmetic Notification QOL Change

Now that loot boxes are back it seems that with them the “NEW” notification for items has returned to be much more common in the hero gallery. However, there are two pretty big problems with this I think. One is, when you go to the hero gallery, there is no way of knowing a specific hero has gotten a new item unless you go to them and actually click on them. I would like for you to be able to see who has new cosmetics unlocked just from the hero gallery screen alone, saving some time

Much more importantly, especially if you’ve lost track of what you’ve gotten after opening multiple loot boxes, there needs to be a new notification on the cosmetic that you’ve gotten that’s new. Sorting through 100 weapon charms to find the one you’ve just gotten takes a lot of time (especially on console), but also it’s easy to miss which one because there is nothing indicating what is a new item.

Alongside this, please make it so the new notification goes away after you hover on the item for a certain amount of time. Because otherwise you literally can’t make it go away unless you fully equip whatever you’ve just gotten. Thank you

Absolutely ug I’m one of those players that likes to favorite the new stuff, and I wish it would put a ! on characters and the category that got something new. Or even better yet give us a sorting option to just show the new items

I also noticed this “NEW” notif doesn’t appear on the specific cosmetic when you’re in the hero’s menu. It also won’t clear when you view what you’ve gotten in the box like it used to do back in OW1. It’s a weird oversight I hope they fix because I do not want that “NEW” constantly hovering over the Heroes tab when I’ve already looked at what I’ve gotten.

Just give us a “Clear New” button, the same as Fortnite

The box thing I didn’t try so it’s interesting to know that doesn’t clear it also. That first thing you said is what annoyed me the most trying to find cosmetics honestly
