I purchased the new season’s battlepass and I got a few tier skips from twitch drops. When I went into the practice range and then came back to the menus, I got a message saying that the lootboxes from last season were opened (I did not have any saved up), and when I checked the lootboxes, my legendary lootbox was missing. In the details section it says my last opened lootbox was on April 20th, two days ago. Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, I just had it with 7 lootboxes
(5 from new discord quest and 2 legendary boxes from the battlepass)

I would like to also mention that I closed and re-opened the application to see if that would fix the issue, but nothing came of value.

4/22/2025 4:10pm est.- The game did the same thing to me! i had earned a legendary box from the battlepass and i was going to open it later. closed the game and when i reopened it, it said I had unopened boxes from last season and my legendary was gone! it was opened already in the history but i wanted to keep it till later i didn’t want to open my lootbox yet. the one lootbox i had waiting, wasnt’ from last season at all. now i’m afraid to earn any lootboxes if the game is just going to pen them up automatically for me wether i want to or not… and i’m not even sure what i got out of the game opening the box i gotta hunt for what’s new. Very bad design.

The legendary loot box was likely opened along with any leftover Season 15 boxes. I had 132 loot boxes from Season 15, which were not opened when I logged into Season 16. I bought the Ultimate Battle Pass and earned a legendary loot box, making my new loot box count 133.
I then came to the forums and saw this blue post outlining that boxes were automatically opened an hour after the season started, and that a game restart will fix it. When I restarted, it said that it automatically opened 133 loot boxes for me, which basically included that Season 16 loot box.
The blue post also mentions that some details of opened loot boxes sometimes don’t show up for an hour, so you should see those details eventually. So the loot box wasn’t deleted, it was just automatically opened.

My box was claimed 4 hours ago and deleted 3 hours ago, still no indication it ever existed in the lootbox history.
I had 13 boxes saved up last season, today because of new season they were opened automatically. I have nothing new in my heroes but when I go to History in Loot Boxes section it appears what I was supposed to receive but I have nothing of that.
Hey, the same thing happened to me. I got a Legendary lootbox from the new Battlepass, went to the practice range, and when I came back, it was gone. The message about old lootboxes being opened appeared too, but I didn’t have any saved. It feels really unfair. Hope they fix this soon.

Same issue, though for me it says I got a skin from it… But I cant find that skin nowhere, like, I clicked through all of the characters I have, and nobody has a skin called Avatar - what it says I opened (no, it’s not the Zen one, that one is called Aang)
This exact same thing happened to me. I had 40 tier skips banked from last season and it gave me 2 legendary loot boxes. Went to practice range and came back and got the message saying two loot boxes were opened. There is no history of these boxes even existing as my latest loot box is from yesterday. This is so unfair. I hope they fix this soon.

Update as of 9:00 EST – still no return of my lost lootbox. I’ve restarted my game a few times. I completed the discord quest but I’m unsure if I can claim them without them also disappearing so I’m going to wait to reclaim them.
The skin called Avatar is one of Doomfists skins.

14 hours later and still no mention in lootbox history as what was opened (if anything was ever opened) and lootbox is still missing. I wouldn’t care as much if it was a regular lootbox but since it was a legendary one it annoys me a bit.
Each type of loot box has its own separate history. Please confirm you’re checking the loot box history from the “Legendary Loot Box” tab, not the “Loot Box” tab.
The “new” tags were not included, but the items from the loot box history should be unlocked in your Hero Gallery. Note that the history only provides the rarity and name of the cosmetic. It does not include which type of cosmetic it is or the hero the cosmetic is for.
Doomfist has a base legendary skin called “Avatar”. Confirm that it’s the skin you received.
Going to update this: I checked today around midnight EST and the game updated to have my Legendary lootbox opened, with the skins I got. Unfortunately I think it was just a bug with the early season and swapping between the previous season.
