I’ve been playing Overwatch since Day 1. Love this game. But the number of new accounts skewing matchmaking is making the game actually unplayable. I’m either babysitting a brand new player fresh out of QP or I’m winning or losing because of an improperly placed new account/Smurf in at least 50% of my matches. Unreal.

Smurfing would be harder if QP data was taken into affect, while also placing well intending alts more appropriately. Also, allowing players to place lower so they don’t have to fall from gold would be amazing (ie my friend who was new that placed 1700 and ended up falling to triple digits. New to FPS on PC and never played a game like OW before)

oh blizz know’s what they are doing they just choose to not address it. hints why there’s barely going to be any content till Ow2 If overwatch even makes it to ow2 at this point… a lot of people are thinking that it’s gonna die before it even comes out in like a year and a half or two.

lol, I have a friend who just started playing ow, he does have some fps experience like Apex. Its funny seeing people calling him noob and smurf at the same time in qp. He will be lv25 today, and I cant wait to see how people will react with his lv😂

Nope most smurfs buy accounts from ppl who level them in custom games

You aren’t gonna level up an account account with much efficiency considering the heavy limits blizzard puts on custom games. Also, most everyone I’ve talked to who has smurfs leveled them themselves.

Nah they afk in custom games or vs ai and get xp. Most smurfs won’t spend time in qp leveling an account themselves.
