NetEase - Third Party Software?

Does NetEase clash with Overwatch? As in, if you have rivals launched and then load Overwatch, would it be classed as a third party application being open and therefore result in a ban? Looking at current issues surrounding myself and others having their accounts permanently closed and genuinely just throwing ideas out

Did you get a perma ban on first offense? Or has it been multiple temp bans?

Um, yeah. OW2 bans you permanently if you ever play any other games, didn’t you know that? (just kidding, sarcasm, the answer is no).

I love how over the top you are going with it though. Quite a kyupid take.

Bliz part of the MS and Overwatch should be part of windows os kernel!

Honestly my brain has been a hive mind I’m throwing everything I have out my head :joy: love the take on my name that gave me a chuckle

With all the false bans going around that I’ve read from Twitter, Reddit and forums here… I wouldn’t be surprised. These bans seem to have come out of nowhere.

Permanent ban straight away with no previous strikes against me. I’m an Xbox player but loaded on my pc to play a custom chill lobby (to learn mouse and keyboard) and after 10 minutes, got off and went back to Xbox to see I was banned. Only software I had open were Logitech, vanguard for Valorant and rivals open just closed. Oh and opera + Spotify but doesn’t affect it. And yes, I use controller only on xbox

That’s weird, I have no idea. Guess you can bother support with tickets till you get a human answer to try and find out.

Yeah… no 8 tickets later I’ve had 3 different reasons chucked at me but no actual answer or evidence and now refuse to review and say my ban will be upheld. Sigh, I’m not the only one. Plenty of other people affected on forums, Twitter and Reddit too

Damn imagine NetEase figured out how to trigger OW bans … was there an update recently?

I dont think it’s that far, I just thought overwatch recognised it as a third party application. Like I said, just my mind thinking of possibilities!

As someone that works in corporate IT I don’t see any possible issue here.

Bring on the Overwatch office LAN parties.

“This meeting could’ve been a deathmatch”

Overwatch in the kernel can’t be worse than CrowdStrike right?

Well Overwatch is way more optimized and polished than that ai that they promised to showel inside soon . What worse could happen, blue screen is better than crazy Dalle-3 that suddenly decides to change wallpaper every 2 seconds and using last search query as a prompt

There not false bans; Anti-Cheat was updated and is now detecting a previously infected “hook” being used for hacks.

They are false because there are multiple accounts coming up each day between here/reddit/twitter where people with clean accounts for 5+ years have no idea where the punishment has come from. Who would cheat on an OG account they’ve spent hundreds if not thousands on? I saw someone on Twitter had a false ban, they said they tried to appeal and got denied through support tickets, but got unbanned by knowing a Blizz employee - that they got manually unbanned and said it was due to an error. But sure… no false bans going around at all!

Do you have any controller software installed or custom drivers or similar?

Reading your responses you’ve have replies from real people on your tickets too. You should screenshot their replies and share here.

Don’t think you can post that kind of things here… and no I’m purely controller only on Xbox I hate Ximming and loved the day they started banning people for it, and nope no custom software at all

ok thats a reminder not to play both games at the same time, i have the capability to but yea i never do that. i mean queue times in both games in quickplay are pretty fast but i can see people doing that if they are VERY HIGH rank in any of the games. even rivals has HIGH QUEUE times in the highest ranks i think

i dont play rank much at all in both games so i always have fast games heh
