Nerfing the damage passive to 15%

Why can’t you ever stand by a good change to the game, the only good change to the game from the last patch.

15% is barely anything, you can keep damage boost at 25%, while a 20% passive is too much?

20% was the perfect number, so nano’s sustain wasn’t completely broken at a 50% damage reduction.

On the other hand…Indirect Junk buff since he can’t consistently apply the passive anyway :+1:

Discord, and Mercy Blue beam can each in a sense both only be applied to one target(one of which can’t be reapplied to the same target for a bit), by one member of your team.

The DPS passive can be applied to every member of an enemy team simultaneously by 2 members of your team, and be immediately reapplied.

DPS passive can be applied to more people, therefore it should be lower.

I am so excited for the change

Reducing the damage passive is the smartest thing they could’ve done. It was having too much of an impact on Tank & Support heroes. They don’t want to individually rebalance every tank and support as a result of it.

Oh no… The enemy Mercy is gonna heal two more HPS.
Whatever will we do? :sob: :sob: :sob:

If you build a game that revolves around the holy trinity, catering to DPS will blow up in your face.

Every. Single. Time.

It probably still does its “job” at 15% anyway.

They literally already nerfed DB by the same percentage a few seasons ago.

Same percentage, 25% is way more than 15%. 15% aint crap

If you were to nerf damage boost to 20% all you Mercy mains would be furious. Imagine how useless 15% damage boost would be.

Any damage would trigger the passive though… so that should include walking into or being hit by explosive damage from the grenades

I can’t wait until they drop it to 10%.

First off… You do realize I’m not a Mercy main anymore, right? I haven’t been since ow1. I essentially only queue dps.

Second off… Yeah? Mercy mains would be. It’s the only realistic way Mercy can contribute to damage. It would be like nerfing Cassidy to take 3 headshots at close range.

Nerfing the DPS passive is more like nerfing the support passive a bit. It’s something extra, not something core to a hero.

Classic DPS Syndrome. As soon as they get a slap on the wrist nerf, games broken, unplayable, devs are stupid, etc.

Gotta love 'em.

Maaaaan I can’t wait till they get rid of passives.

Oh well.

We’ve seen this stubborn movie before of them doing nerf after nerf after nerf until it dawns on them that this was a day 1 bad idea.

Maybe if let the original bullet size stay. It could have been less crazy.

Maybe one day they will figure things out

I’m holding out for when it gets removed for a new passive.

it was the dumbest thing they could have done because it doesnt actually help anyone

the nerf from 20% to 15% is the difference between a hero that does 100hps doing 85 (-15%) instead of 80 (-20%)

while having absolutely no effect on helping the tank role

buffing healing or nerfing the passive does nothing to make tank ‘more playable’ its plagued by a fundamental design flaw in that they are far more reliant on the supports then anyone else

Kinda.

I’d say it goes further, that 5 years after they got rid of Open Queue as the main game mode, you still got people saying we gotta balance Tanks/Supports like GOATs is still a thing.

Nah, it’s pure baby crying at this point.

Oh poor baby, you lost 5% off an overpowered passive? How sad for you.

Now they need to work on getting back their tank players.

I figure any complaints about “Strongest Role” or “Weakest Role” is Open Queue logic.

People just haven’t updated their thinking in the last half decade…
