#nerfgoats (suggesting some balance changes)

before, lucios ult was pretty meh. it couldn’t save you from most ults and deteriorated quite quickly making it only really good for blocking low damage sustain ults like soldier or making genji have to waste a swing or two. they increased it to be a proper defense ult. It still deteriorates at the same speed but now you can actually counter ults with it like a real defensive ult.

D.Va’s damage isn’t the issue. It’s Defense Matrix.

The three tanks mainly played in goats just counter dps too well, especially combined with Brig.

If anything they need to nerf D.Va and Zarya’s versatility, as they are way too good at too many things. Even Rein has some drawbacks, but those two barely have any.

The the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Individually these tanks are all fine. It’s only when you put them together they become an issue. Their damage is less, but they all have a big 500+ health pool to chew through with three to four different sources of damage mitigation to get through before even mentioning healing. Nerfing everything will not solve it either. Think about it, naturally more tanks and supports are going to be added, what happens when you make something that competes with what we have and they instead just play them together? Nerf what you have now, and what you release later will just take its place

You need a system in place to prevent that from happening

Zarya is hardly what I’d call versatile, she’s really extremely linear.

People seem to underestimate the effectiveness of role-stacking when it comes to tanks or supports. It’s not that they are too strong individually, but that they have synergy with each other. With more heroes being added over time, there is going to be more and more ability overlap, enabling synergies that are similar to hero-stacking (e.g. multiple aoe heals). I really don’t think it will be possible to balance heroes without forcing a 222 comp or something similar.

No, he will block a lot of dmg even with 1500 shield. But if you want to block more - you can take Orisa with Rein. And his dmg should be decreased aswell because he is not a dps. He can kill a whole team with grav or shatter combo just by swinging his hammer. This is not normal.

There’s only 1 solution, and even i hate it. Nerf Lucio’s speed boost.
Making tanks move as fast as a dps is them problem.

But we still have 4 more tanks. And pickrate of hog and Orisa now is very low. This changes maybe will increase it.

I don’t think so. It’s just to reduce her spaming. Also you will need to use your matrix to reload in the fight or to go back to cover. This nerf will probably affect on Sombra aswell.

I don’t think AOE healing should stack. You either get the benefits of a Brigitte or the benefits of a Lucio on your team, not both.

I haven’t thought about this too much, but it seems like the simplest fix while maintaining the integrity of every hero that’s part of GOATs.

The problem is ppl getting in front him thinking they should be able to melt him. Also rein is already frustrating enough to play, so no.

Hog and orisa are ult batteries. That is why they are not get picked a lot

Generally any tank is ult battery. It is just how it is. They must absorb most part of the dmg but this doesn’t mean that they should have so strong abilities and characteristics like they have right now. But it’s just my opinion.

Goats need effective barriers + damage.
Hog is more combo with Orisa, but their mobility is too slow. They’re more situational atm (Junkertown, Ilios Well)
Dive is dead, so Winston is a no-no
Hammond is also situational.

So for Goats, if you take out tanks’ speed, you kill goats.

Mb a new hero who will able to slow down enemies? Same as Lucio aura but inverse.
