Nerf Sombra to reasonable

Her kit is overpowered without any consequences.

Best mobility, best escape, counters all heroes, can see enemies through walls, INVISIBLE 90% of the time, ranged and increases damage on targets.

She needs a nerf.
Translocater needs a nerf - its cool down is too short, the vertical distance is too high
Hack needs a needs a nerf - reduce the hack distance, it needs a way to be interupted.
Opportuniest needs a nerf - no reason hacked targest recieve more damage, virus does increase damage rate.

thanks

She was fine with infinite stealth, a bit of annoying and could be nulified if you stayed close to a support or dps; now she’s way worse to deal with, more lethal, and more popular than the last rework.

Translocater should be reverted back to what it was before.

its so stupid how this is still not being addressed

Sombra isn’t even good but I’ll admit that she has gotten somewhat better thanks to that 2 second lockout perk.

Yea idk what they were thinking in adding a perk that just makes the most frustrating part of her kit better.

But… that’s the dev team being the dev team.

No? You made a post and responded to me, I responded to you. What do you want???

I’m not a kid, either.

I told everyone that if they removed infinite stealth they’d give her compensation buffs
I told everyone that a decent player didn’t need infinite stealth and would stomp on them harder with those compensation buffs
but you all just kept begging for finite stealth
so I will enjoy stomping on people

Yeah, Sombra is so OP—that’s why her win rate is almost 10% lower than the best heroes. Let’s keep nerfing her just because noobs are too dumb!

Translocator

According to you, it’s the best mobility ability, but half the tanks are just as mobile, and their abilities activate instantly. Sombra needs at least 0.25 seconds to teleport, and with aiming, it’s more like 0.5 seconds.

Hack

The fact that you’re asking for the easiest-to-interrupt ability—which is basically just a damage boost now—to be even easier to interrupt makes your entire argument invalid.

Opportunist

This is the result of your constant “nerf Sombra” complaints. If you keep demanding nerfs while she’s already weak, she needs compensation buffs, which can only be damage. That turns her into an assassin, and then people start complaining about her damage.

The only real issue is how invisibility is activated and how Sombra has been pushed further and further away from her original role.

Who at Blizzard thought it was a good idea to combine her attack and escape ability? I engage, reposition myself in 3 seconds, spot an unaware enemy—but I can’t attack because I’d die instantly. Staying in a fight for 3 seconds is impossible for a hero with no survival abilities!

Are you SURE you don’t mean tracer? The permanently meta hero is RIGHT THERE. How do you say best mobility and NOT mean tracer. I would even take ball. Debatably Lucio, but Sombra? Lol, LMAO even.

Her problem isn’t the hack, but the stupid Virus.

Everything else about her kit — infinite Invis and Hack is all for her to nuke a player from existence with Virus.

  • Invis allows her to freely stage an assassination from relative safety. It has conditions that make it a bit more difficult to time these engages, but it still exists.

  • Hack is used primarily for the damage boost, and how it benefits Virus — not for its ability to disrupt.

The crazy part is that she isn’t even that good with all this. Annoying and cheesy, perhaps.

They have leaned so far from her identity, that she is just more problematic at this point, for both Sombra players and the people she plays against. She needs another rework. Virus has to be replaced with something else.

Perhaps weakening her regular hack and making a throwable be a more powerful version of it. Opportunist is fine. She would need a small buff to her weapon spread without Virus.

Incorrect.

That’s Tracer.

Tracer

Can’t say that’s Tracer, but this is laughable. There are plenty of heroes who counter Sombra.

So can Widow and Hanzo, and unlike them, Sombra can’t one shot.

Yes - that’s park of her job as an assassin type character.

That could apply to several characters, too.

Nah, she’s in a pretty good place.

It’s super easy to see where she’s going if you’re paying attention. I’ve played several matches against competent players and I’ve had some frustrating deaths because they correctly figured out where I was trying to go.

Hack has already been nerfed into the ground, lol. It used to actually make someone a sitting duck but now the actual silence lasts for a breath and the target cannot be hacked again for 8 seconds. And it can be interrupted - it’s called hit Sombra. If you hit her, it fails, and she cannot hack again for a few seconds.

Yes there is a reason - otherwise she’d secure no kills. But I promise you that you’re only going to see Sombras hacking targets as an opener at lower ranks just to pew pew. More experienced Sombras typically save Hack to interrupt something good.

Your whole post can be summarized as: I can’t deal with this hero, therefore they need to be nerfed. Like she is so much less of a problem than she was in OW1.

Sombra’s biggest problem is that she isn’t actually an assassin—she’s a sabotage hero. Unfortunately, Blizzard doesn’t care and has gradually reworked her piece by piece until she’s so bad that she now has the lowest win rate in Overwatch history.

She’s absolutely not in a good place. She no longer fits her identity or her role. How is someone who isn’t a Sombra main supposed to achieve anything with her when even dedicated Sombra mains are struggling?

I am inclined to agree with you here.

I don’t love the changes particularly. I find Virus interesting but overall she is way different than what she was when I picked her up / loved her.

When I say “she’s in a pretty good place” it’s more of “she’s not OP, and I don’t want the devs messing with her too much and making her worse and forcing me to relearn her AGAIN” vs. “She’s in a pretty good place as” I love her + this is the best iterration of Sombra ever.

If that makes sense.

Lol

But a really big lol.

That text could have been written by me!

I think Virus is an interesting ability, and I’d be fine with hero XY having it—but it doesn’t belong in Sombra’s hands. The past has already shown us why!

And the part about her being in a “pretty good place” isn’t much different for me either. The developers don’t even understand the basic foundation of old Sombra, so how are they supposed to fix her problems properly?!
