If I was in charge I would apply hero bans, BUT as part of a custom que process, You pick which up a limit of 4 heroes you won’t banned and you will matched up with other players with same or similar setting, The ban picks will have diminishing returns, meaning the first banned hero you pick the game will make sure you’re match in against other plays who banned that same here but to reduce que wait times, the the other 3 will less focus.
So like this.
If you pick Sombra first then you will place in a game where other players have her banned, If you pick Widow Maker as your second ban she’ll have 90%, Reaper will then be 80%, D.VA would get a 70% chance of remaining banned and the last will get a 60% to 50%.
So depending if the servers can find others who match your ban list, There’s a chance you will see heroes that are lower on your list.
Hero bans will ONLY work on those have matching or similar ban list active.
Everyone else isn’t using hero bans will have access to all the heroes.
Those who pick a hero to ban can NOT pick that hero.
So know thinking you can pick Sombra and others can’t.
Her win rate is still negative, so no nerf. But something needs to happen because Sombra shouldn’t have this kind of damage! But what does she get in exchange?

It would be dumb to pick Sombra! If I’m queuing with 5 players in a match where the main goal is to take down the big, tough tank, I would just have my team ban 5 different tanks so our tank doesn’t get countered. Or we could ban all the heroes that counter our team’s main tank!

Increase the ability lockout duration on hack by .4 seconds and revert the damage buff to virus.
The point of hero bans is to make it so one meta doesn’t exist. Not to have a permanent hate list for players you wish to not encounter.
Maybe revert the virus buff, keep her at 225 HP, increase the translocator CD but give her 2 charges of it. Now she has less damage and still has higher risk due to low health, but she has mid-fight mobility, allowing her to stay in the fight longer so she has a little more opportunity to deal damage and make up the difference.
I’d also remove infinite stealth and instead have it last 7s. I’d make it activate passively only after translocating. I’d then remove the stealth CD since stealth is now indirectly tied to the translocator CD. With translocator now having the flexibility of being multi-charge, stealth is a little closer to being the metered resource others have requested.
There’s more to think about with this version of the kit, which raises her skill floor and hopefully alleviates low elo concerns. At the same time, this version has more expression to benefit higher elos.

Not gonna happen for another couple weeks. They already did their hotfix for the start of the season. Next patch is coming midseason
These devs are absolutely horrible. For some sickening reason they are forcing everyone to play with her
That would literally be the first time since she was created.
Pretty sure those actually may cause you to get reported. No one should be reported for picking a hero someone doesn’t like. I still remember the doomfist players saying this happened to them last year.
Even if her win rate isn’t good, she just makes the game incredibly unfun. I figured I would give this season a try in case she’s not as bad as it seems. Nope, no fun to be had when there’s a Sombra. This has made me realize that I’m going to be having more fun doing anything that isn’t Overwatch.
