Nerf Rocket Punch please

It’s a little bit too powerful if you ask me, buff the other abilities but nerf rocket punch. A hero shouldn’t have such a strong ability. Make it a little more balanced while buffing the other abilities for Doomfist.

Just to make this clear, I absolutely do not want to nerf Doomfists Power. I want it to be more fairly seperated between his other abilities.

K, I’ll bite, what exactly is your issue with rocket punch?

Rocket punch is probably the least of his issues if you were to argue he was overpowered.

No bro, you do not want to buff the other skills just to compensate a nerf to RP.

Rocket punch is powerful- but largely because of the mobility options it gives Doomfist.

For attack- rocket punch is one of the most limited, telegraphed abilities in the game.

He visually gives himself away by lighting up like a Christmas tree.

Audibly reveals His position with screaming and mechanical noises rivaling a Hoover vacuum- resulting in one of the single loudest abilities in the game.

The ability needs to be charged, to increase both its range and damage.

It can’t be aimed up

Or down

Only has a portion of the damage up front, with the rest coming from squaring someone into a wall.

But only if they hit the wall within a finite angle, otherwise they’ll glance off.

The time it takes Doomfist to CHARGE rocket punch and hit someone- many other heroes can do as much or more damage.

Plus he uses his body as the projectile, putting himself in danger.

There’s a reason at a higher level RP is largely used as his escape mechanic- and not as his primary for of damage.

Nearly every hero has a direct or indirect means in their kit to dodge, avoid, evade, block, disrupt, or otherwise ruin RP over. Blinks dashes stuns walls phasing from existence- on and on.

I will tell you right now as someone with Doomfist as the most played individual hero-

Nerfing RP and buffing slam / uppercut is NOT what you want- as that’s where he gets most of his value.

There’s few polite ways to put it- but dying repeatedly to RP is largely a L2P issues. If you’d complained about his ability to leap over terrain and blind hail marry into your team, pulling and uppercutting his target to death with some lethal burst?

I’d have understood.

But RP?

Enh.

U sure? It’s the same thing with Rez, it’s such a powerful ability, they needed to make the rest she does weaker. Honestly I don’t think that’s a good solution.

A good DF does not kill with RP. They mostly do with the combo.

So you do not want to buff the other stuff in his kit. He will be more annoying and depressing to fight against.

I guess? It’s been some time since I’ve met any good DF Mains, so I honestly just lnow the basic stuff he’s aboe to do. Fine, he can stay like this. I guess it was just a feeling that it was a little unbalanced.
