Moria does so much damage that most people in unranked that plays Moria, uses her for DPS, rather than healing. This seems to be a huge problem and causes major issues with balance and good team play. Why not nerf her DPS to entice Moria players to actually do the support role and heal? Last match a few minutes ago, our Moria had almost 10k damage, and not even 3k in healing. Let support be support and leave the dps to dps/tanks. This is a major problem IMHO. What’s your thoughts on this?

If I had to leave the damage up to the DPS players since season 9, I would never play this game again
So many just… AWFUL dps players lately, it’s no wonder support players are just hard focusing on damage

Remember when her damage orb was going to be an enfeeble early OW2 beta, and people complained and wanted her old damage orbs back? Yeah…
I don’t, i usually have most kill, most damage and most healing. She only has 1 escape… The reason you find her a pain is the fact that you put yourself out of position to where she can punish you for a free kill, there is a time to use moira, and there is a time to use kiriko or illari if i can’t jump soloist…
This is prolly my moira season though, she is by far the easiest to punish venture with, i always makes ventures either ragequit or rageswap 
I agree with you. After all, her role is support. Her latest “nerf” hasn’t had much impact (at least what I’ve seen). Another option would be to change her role to DPS and remove her heal. Players who play Moira do so because they like her playstyle. There would be another spot for another support. Is fun to play with a Moira that had 10k dmg, 30kills and our dps did 4k or less, 6 kills >.<

She doesn’t. You are just bad, there is no other way to put it, sorry.
Most of her damage is “cosmetic” and she totally lacks burst damage. It’s the lowest DPS in the game, next to Brig.
Another thing is that she totally lacks in utility and is probably the only hero in the game to have none of it. She heals and deals damage, that’s it. Her only way to have some play-making potential is her damage.
Bro, Bionic Grenade is not designed to do damage, it does, but that’s not its intent. It’s to boost health of teammates. Lucio’s speed boost is to dash teammates into the fight or out of the fight. WTF?!?
well i mean her dps was JUST nerfed by a total of 5 points and as a moira main i can DEFINITELY feel it lol

Bro, have you ever watched a Moria take out a Phara/Echo when you have both hitscan dps, and still have more dps??? Moria’s job is to heal and do damage if needed…

The thing with Moira is how do you nerf her in a way that doesn’t make her unplayable? She only heals or deals damage. If you nerf her TtK too much, she can only play passively and heal her team, but she’s not mobile enough to really survive a duel once fade is gone so now you’re better off playing Mercy. If you nerf her healing, she can’t keep her team alive through burst damage and uh oh now you’re better off playing Bap.
It has always been Moira’s problem that she struggles to find value against other supports unless she’s tuned up because she only heals or deals damage. Even in brawl, her favored meta, Baptiste was played over her.
Probably the only real way to nerf Moira that won’t immediately destroy her usefulness is to nerf her survivability, but with 250hp and 2 self heals, that would be difficult to do in a way that wouldn’t flat-out remove her life steal from existence. That wouldn’t make her deal any less healing or damage though, she would just die more lol
Laughs while getting destroyed in less than 2 seconds by Reaper, Rat, S76, Torb, Sombs, Pharah, Echo, Tracer, Genji, Widow, Bap, Kiriko, Ana, Mei, Mercy, Sojourn, BASTION, Zen, Cassidy, Ashe, Brig, and even Lucio
Trust us, Moira can only ever win through attrition or picking off someone whose dead either way. In a game where most characters can destroy you in a few hits, Moira’s damage is quite low.
