Nerf Mercy Damage Boost Already

It’s long overdue. I’m so sick of seeing her in every game!

They ll probably nerf it from 30% to 25% and give her a big compensation buff that makes her more meta than moth meta in ow1, these devs are utterly incompetent and have no clue how their own game is played, also why is the frequency of balance patches so archaically slow in this live service game? they would rather let the game rot months on end due to unfun metas and let the player base dwindle than be proactive.

Blizzard simply doesn’t see many things as a problem as you do.

Stability
Often when there are crashes or stability problems those get addressed right away or given a temporary adjustment. For example, Mei got banned for a time due to stability issues. These are some of the highest priority things Blizzard works on.

Gameplay Balance
When there is a HUGE balance problem they end up making adjustments rather quickly. 2 weeks into the Life Weaver release he got a moveset change rather quickly and Aaron went on twitter saying like a week later they had changes in mind for Life Weaver because they knew he was severally underperforming.

They pushed those changes through rather quickly. Doomfist has some rather large buffs in Dec 6th, but a week later he got a change pulling back some of those buffs. He even went on to still being one of the best tanks of season 2 in say top 500.

Compensation Balance
Blizzard frequently makes compensation changes where they are relatively happy with a characters spot, but want to make tweaks to alter their character pain points. They teased changes to Cass nade weeks in advance of where we are now. They gave cass a really generic weapon. Nade go boom, do 130 dmg, thent hey did a more complex change that made it honestly weaker and harder to kill many 200hp heroes while selectively making certain heroes easier to kill.

The changes to Cass/Mei happened June 13th, then 2 weeks later they had already readjust cass/mei instantly and Alec had come on twitter saying they were going to be buffing Mei’s primary fire.

Let’s just skip all of the tiny nerfs and set the game to have 1 tank, 1 DPS, and 1 support, but they all have the same weapons, HP, healing, passives, and mobility.

Who knows. It might not be a balance issue, but if we cry about it being unfun long enough they will nerf Mercy.

As were the cases of Widow and Hanzo

At the same time, they are extremely resilient to not make certain changes. Honestly, Life Weaver’s release and the early comments about more mercy-like supports sort of fit I think with Blizzard’s long term goal of trying to keep the game accessible through different playstyles. Even so far as to double down on trying to generate more skill expression tool sets that aren’t so aim intensive to give Mercy players other characters to play.

Mercy’s result is just this perfect mix of being able to have a character that is exceedingly well liked, viable, but not overpowering. The last time Mercy was extremely meta in season 2, she was actually neck and neck with Lucio for top 500 pick rate and was underwhelmingly behind Kiriko’s pick rate.

Many people simply do not want Mercy’s toolkit to be viable and want it trashed to the ground.

So it will be all soldiers but tank soldier will be thicc like fat Thor and more hp

Support soldier will have bigger health lamp.

This has been issue with game currently.

If people :sob::sob::sob::disappointed_relieved::cry::cold_sweat::sob:
Enough

Even if they are vocal minority blizzard will nerf or buff heroes regardless of actual balance or gameplay.

Peeps have realised it and are doubling down on :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:
