Other ultimate charge rates have been nerfed for less, despite having less potential value - i.e. Dragonblade, Coalescence. Duplicate was loaded with positives and few negatives so I understand that, but Dragonblade is useless outside of combos, and it was already a struggle to build it in the first place.
If we’re going to be taking a step away from shields, we need to do something about Deadeye, seeing how a good McCree can build it at least 3 times in a teamfight. Even without the 3200 damage, it’s still an instant reload button.

Dead eye is so cheap and easy to do compared for example to a Death Blossom, with Mc Cree all you need is a shield and he can destroy anyone and everything you know, what he will have after 500 patches?

Dead eye is an instant space creator and 3/5 times a free kill and like you said free reload but I don’t think it’s that op.
-25 hp is the way to go and also revert fire rate nerf

His ult is nearly useless without some combo or insane flank/the enemy being totally deaf and oblivious. The main use I have for it in diamond/master is zoning, followed by reload canceling it. There is so much counter play to it, naturally built into the game (Any cover), on top of abilities like sleep, hook, freeze, any real CC, not to mention shields needing you to tick multiple heads to be able to break and kill behind it.
Only good time to use it for kills is during another ult, I personally prefer Flux, from the enemy side, as it raises me above the enemy’s shields, and allows for some easy kills. Grav surge works well too, but even then you have to be aware of one shots and sleeps.
Why nerf the charge of something that does not secure many kills and best use is for zoning or reloading to continue DPSing?
Mcree is fine now after the falloff nerf. He doesn’t need a nerf especially to his… ult…?

E+RMB+Shift+RMB+Q+RMB+RMB is a highly advanced technique only doable by the top McCree players. Deadeye should remain as is so lower ranked players will have a use for it.

Yes do this please machine gun McCree was the funnest dps experience I’ve ever had. (I’m not being sarcastic)
At higher levels don’t ‘pros’ only use dead eye for a quick reload to fuel more FTH.

It’s a pretty terrible ultimate. Great mid fight, but doesnt really start an engagement and can only create space a lot of the time. Nasty vs Pharmercy tho.

Honestly I’d say Deadeye is probably the most balanced part of his kit.
It’s his health and flashbang radius that are the two glaring problems about him.
Ult isnt the problem for say. Moreso the hp is the problem. Although with several nerfs to hitscans recently, unsure how his current 225hp will fare now with another nerf coming to him. I’d rather them just revert the recent 2 nerfs (not the fall off range nerf) they did to mccree and just lower his hp to 200 to make him more fluidic and not make him tankier.
I don’t think he’ll be getting it as often with the falloff nerf. Glad to see people realizing it’s a pretty good ult though.
I heavily disagree with this.
Not only because Dragonblade is better, but because they nerfed its charge rate because they buffed other parts of Genji’s kit.
Dead Eye should only be getting a kill at most 1/3 of the time. If it is getting a kill 2/3 of the time your team is not in a good position.
With the falloff damage nerf, he’s going to be doing less damage on average during the course of a match which means it’s also an indirect nerf to his ult charge rate. I say see where he lands once the dust is settled, and even then I think it’s arguable that Deadeye would still not be his main problem if he still does need adjustment.
