Genji’s ultimate is so OP. He needs a bigger cooldown in Deflect or should not be able to use it while in Dragon Blade, because his mobility and double jump makes him so hard to stop and when there is some way to stop him, he can deflect it… That’s so unfair.
If Reaper can’t use his Wraith Form, Moira can’t use Fade and McCree can’t use Flashbang while is their ultimate to defend them selfs, why Genji can even with his high mobility in a fps game when there it is players who doens’t aim good enough to kill him?
Since Brigitte is nerfed, she’s not a viable counter for him anymore.
He needs to be able to be counter and do not kill someone with 2 hits or with a hit and a Swift Strike, since Nano Blade is the most broken and op combo in the entire game without using a defensive ultimate from Lúcio or Zenyatta.
I know that will be people saying that this is a problem with me who can’t counter him and I agree, he’s the hero that I hate the most playing agaisnt to but I’m not the only one for suuuuuure.
Pleeeease, give us more Support Heroes with defensives ultimates too. I’m so discouraged and frustrated playing this game with the huge numbers of players who is main Genji and one trick Genji so I needed to express myself and my feedback here.
I think this is the first nerf Genji thread that actually has a reasonable suggestion as well as an explanation for said example that doesn’t make Genji absolutely useless. Well done OP!
And yeah idk why he can have his cake and eat it too, not being able to deflect won’t hurt him too badly and give enemies a better chance
I’d be fine with not being able to use deflect while in DB, but dude, blade has counters.
The ult in itself is just a giant banner that says “ALL ATTENTION ON ME”. Team shot him into oblivion. Save some CC or some abilities for him. It’s not that hard.
And Nano blade, as a combination, of TWO ults, should be good. It has the same counters as blade itself.

The only real counter to nano blade is sleep dart which is hard to land on dragon blade genji. Any other cc is just a slight pause to his dmg. Trans works too but genji still moves faster than trans zen so if someone is out of trans aoe genji is going to kill them. I just think charge rate needs to be nerfed. It’s easily the strongest ult in the game and something so powerful shouldn’t be obtained as easily as spamming left click from across the map. Either give genji fall off dmg on left click or nerf charge rate.

Then why don’t you switch to Zen? Why don’t you switch to Lucio? Why must every single support counter dragonblade to the point it’s a trash ult because he can’t get kills, which is his job?

Stop being part of the problem with this community
Nanoblade is 2 ults. You need to use 1-2 ults to counter it. Use hog ult and push him away, use grav or shatter to stop him, use trans. Yes slash dash goes through trans, but he has to land both abilities. Something like a zarya bubble is perfect for this. If he goes to dash slash someone who’s in trans, you bubble them, then he’s just used his dash, meaning he wont get another reset, because his slash can’t outdamage trans. So you can even use 1 ult and an ability to counter 2 ults. You can use high noon, and just wait for his deflect. You can use soldier visor and make him back off. DVA bomb does the same thing, primal rage can push him away etc.
The point about not using abilities brings up a good point, but i’d rather buff bad ults like mccree and reaper rather than nerfing genji’s.
Lastly brig is still a good counter to his ult. Genji’s ult usually goes like this
Dash into the air- use ult- dash resets- you dash into the enemy team and slash somebody.
If you bash him and whipshot him away, he won’t have a dash reset, and will be about half health. He wont get back to your team unless he has lucio, or for some reason your team is pressing W to get closer to him instead of backing up with S, which is a stupid idea in the first place.

EDIT: One last thing, dragonblade is all genji has. His base damage is crap. Watch any pro genji, they just farm blade over and over for kills. He’s like sombra before her rework. If anything they should make genji’s base damage better and make his ult worse, but just nerfing his ult and leaving him be will make him F tier.
