I’m 100% sure and it looks like some Top 500 content creators are also concerned that Brigitte will be OP at Season 4 launch. Her ultimate seems OP. It should be given a nerf.
It’s better to have an underpowered hero to start off with rather than an OP hero. Since Brigitte got a rework, it’s unknown of her power status afterwards. But if she does end up underpowered because of a nerf, it’s better than her ending up overpowered until the next patch after the start of Season 4. Better to not see Raid Boss Brigitte in almost every competitive Overwatch game rather than ending up with an underpowered Brigitte that needs a buff to be viable.

The buff makes no sense. Brig is already good at what she does.
It feels like an April fools or Experimental patch.

People need to chill out and stop pretending that the 10 second mega form of her ULT (you know that it competes with Kitsune, Nanoboost and other crazy stuff right?), will break her.
Currently Brig is only played by some Brig specialists like Sym was in OW1 days. She was not good and neither is Brig currently. The ult rework gives her finally the utility she needs.
The “Top 500 streamer” need to get over their bias. Same goes for the forum.

They did nerf her. In exchange for a somewhat better ult she was made a worse healer.
Just say you want Brig deleted already.

Top 500 streamers are inciting drama again. What’s new?
Brig’s pick-rate is low, and her winrate is high mainly because the people that play her are specialists who know what situations she works best in.
This is contrary to Sombra where people mostly pick her to harass the backline, but rarely ever actually secure a kill.

Thats why the balance team should never listen to biased streamers

Uh, they did nerf her. What did they nerf?
- Repair Pack range reduced from 30m to 25m
- Rally Movement Speed bonus reduced from 30% to 15%
- Brigitte no longer gains additional Overhealth
Also, not to mention it’s already existing flaws, being as follows:
- Allies only gaining Overhealth, not Armour
- Overhealth accumulates incredibly slowly
- Still has one of the highest Ult costs in the game
- Inspire still heals Brigitte for 1/2 it’s total effectiveness
So, what she gained in bulk, she lost in sustainability. And sustainability is almost always far better than flat bulk. And no, they’re no the same thing. Bulk is simply how tanky a character is by themselves, like Ramattra who’s very bulky, but sustainability is being able to keep themselves healthy fairly reliably, despite not being as bulky, think your Roadhog’s and Hammond’s of the world.
Brigitte is bulky, meaning she can take a hit, while in Rally, but losing the constant Overhealth generation and the lower self heal she gets from Inspire is a huge nerf to her overall sustainability while in Rally. And actually, the only people crying about Brigitte being ‘Overpowered’ and claiming she’ll ‘break Overwatch again’ is, surprising noone, Flats and Samito. And because they’re saying it, everyone else is jumping on the Brig Hate Bandwagon and have decided to make that their whole personality for the next few months, before they’ve even had a chance to play with the new Brigitte themselves.
Wait until you’ve actually played with/against the new Brigitte before you start crying about her being OP, and remember that all these changes are for her Ultimate? You know, the one that made Valkyrie look impressive?

It’s a ult, ults are supposed to be “strong”
sincerely dps mains.

Man, you’ve been really active on the forums lately, haha!
I do agree though.
Brig’s role from OW1 seems to be skewed into even more of a weak specialist hero.
She’s also so squishy… It feels so bad to play a melee hero that dies the instant they go into the fray.
While I’d rather see a different rework for her ult than what we’ve got, her old ult felt like a wet fart compared to the other support ults in most cases. Sure it may be good on brawly comps, but the pro-activity of it, made it a lot less viable than other ults, fueled even more by the armor → overhealth changes…

She didn’t need a rework, and so they reworked her.
blizzard
What do you mean by that?
As a former Brig main I’m excited, she might actually be a better pick again.
Content Creators never stopped complaining about Brig. All they freaking do is complain she’s overpowered and killed the game. Especially tank and dps streamers.

Well she no longer keeps regaining armor and moves slower when her shield is active during the ultimate. Repair packs range was also reduced. Those are some quite big nerfs right there already

No, Brigitte’s Inspire heals herself and her allies for 15hp/s.
It used to heal allies at 20hp/s and herself at 10hp/s but that is long gone. That was when Brig was hard meta in OW 1 freshly after her rework.

Please no more nerfs.
She was basically unplayable last season, at least she was useable this season.
And oof that repair pack Nerf. ):

Inspire heals for around 15 HP/s for Brigitte’s allies, only 1 HP/s less than Lucio’s Heal Aura.
Brigitte is also healed by Inspire, but only for about 7.5 HP/s. She used to be healed by the full amount, but they changed this a few years ago.
Rally, therefore, was good at being able to compensate for that lost sustainability, as she’d be effectively healing for 27.5 HP/s, as Rally provides 20 Overhealth a second. But now, she just gets the 100 Recoverable Armour bonus to her health when in Rally, making her extra bulky, but much easier to outbrawl when in Rally.

Haha, yeah. Mainly just trying to prevent a repeat of 2018 where people jumped on the hating Brig bandwagon, fuelled primarily by content creators.
Lots of people listen to content creators and take their word as the gospel, but a lot of what they say is misleading. “Brigitte was already in a good spot with the highest winrate across all ranks” is a good example of this.

She only needed a meta around her. You could see that when they buffed ball. A lot of players were playing brig zen in rankeds.
She was good

Oh that’s just dumb. I wasn’t aware it worked like that
I really feel like all the backlash against the ult change is just PTSD about release Brig.
