Nerf Brigitte and Mercy's passive healing on herself

Kinda like how Lucio’s passive healing got nerfed. Brigitte and Mercy are a bit too durable. Especially Brigitte who gains back her 50 armor very quickly by doing damage.

Well… Brig needs to end up going into the enemy team to heal herself… and Mercy’s is meh… it might need another second at most though. or maybe just 1.50 seconds.

Yeah honestly I thikn this would probably be the “Fix” to mercy that would likely do the most. Originally it took 3 seconds for her passive healing to start, she became very powerful when they made it 1 second. Maybe 1.5 or 2 seconds would be better.

I agree with the mercy part. That self healing needs to not kick in so soon. She has a very good, low cooldown escape, i think we could add an extra second to the regen.

Her rez and the best healing in the game also more than compensate for this change.

Disclaimer: Im not a mercy main, but i do play her a lot. She’s probably my 3rd most played hero.

Agree with both. Mercy’s is just OP and Brigitte’s gives her too much leeway on venturing off alone. If she actually plays with her team, reduced self healing will not make her too weak but make her less of an unstoppable monster in 1v1s.

ooo are we discussing nerf #11 for Mercy now? Fun!

What’s the point of nerfing her self heal. I mean if you don’t want mercy to be must pick you should nerf her rez which is the real problem about her. Other healers can’t compete with rez. Making it only avaible during valkrie would be enough to decrease her pickrate.

  • Mercy needs a rework, not another nerf on an already trash rework that the OW team aren’t acknowledging as ‘not good’. Instead they choose to ignore it as a success by means of a megathread which they ignore and effectively use to silence discussion on the main forum about Mercy
  • Brigitte, while annoying, isn’t necessarily overpowered… I don’t think she should be able to shield bash stun through an opposing shield barrier however

If you want to complain about a hero that’s overpowered, I suggest writing up nerf suggestions for Hanzo. I’m not convinced his PTR nerf will be enough still.

Ya, it’s really the fact that she has that 50 armor come back when she does damage. She can remain super durable for an insane amount of time. You need a crazy burst to kill her atm. In a 1v1 she’s just insane.

Mercy is the most OP healer in the game. I would make a post about rez, but I want to specifically talk about self-heal. That alone is insanely strong

Brig self heal is already incredibly low. I think it might work out better for both worlds if Inspire worked the same way it does now but couldn’t restore Brig’s armour.

She heals herself for the same amount she would heal allies who are within her passive iirc

Which is 16HPS. That is not even enough to out-heal punching. Too bad she’s so dangerous at close range you can’t do that.

Yes, when she was a troll pick.

This is not true. She became powerful after they butchered Ana and buffed most of her kit.

The rework made her “very powerful”.

It’s 16HPS, but it isn’t JUST for her. It can be for the entire team. It could be 96 HPs. And according to the Wiki she gets one swing every 0.6 seconds. Which means she can get healed up 32HP every 1.2 seconds.

EDIT: In correct info, my mistake. Still strong though! See below.

She’s incredibly tanky and I think reducing her self-heal would be a fair nerf without killing her at all.

Pretty sure people have said inpire’s effect doesn’t overlap

My mistake. You are correct. So, it’s guaranteed 16 HP/S for 5 seconds upon a successful swing.

Inspire does not stack. It’s 16HPS always. It triggers every 4 swings from her first or with Whip shot. And this thread is not about team healing.
In case you were wondering, Support self-heals:

Ana: None
Brig: 16HPS, Inspire (Requires dealing damage to enemy)
Mercy: 30HPS after 1 second of not taking damage, Regeneration (Passive)
Moira: 30HPS, Biotic Grasp (Requires dealing damage to enemy)
Lucio: 13HPS (35HPS w/ Amp it Up), Crossfade (Passive)
Zen: 30HPS after 3 seconds of not taking damage, Shield (Health) (Passive)

I guess, statistically, that means Brig’s self-heal is fine if not weak and Ana could really use one.
Personally, I’d reduce her shield health to 300. It’s a permanent Winston bubble concentrated in front of her face that she can pull out at a split second’s notice at the moment. I don’t mind a hard to kill support but don’t give them 850 effective health (250 + 600), bearing in mind D.Va’s effective health is 750 (600 + 150) not including armour for either of them.

I don’t think it’s needed, but if we HAD to nerf her shield health, I’d like inspire to help regen it

These post are getting real old…

That might actually be a good compensation.
