How is this even a mathematical possibility? It seems impossible, given that all you need to do is land one point of damage to get credit for an elim… Yet it seems so common that this anomaly can take place.
Hey don’t blame me because I suck. I will continue to force Junkrat. I CANNOT BE STOPPED!
Lots of players get eliminated before they even get a chance to shoot back, over and over again
If you say you’ve never went negative on DPS, ever, I won’t believe you.
Even when Overwatch first came out, and even when I was in early beta, I never went negative K:D by the end of the game.
It’s more of an issue of not filtering players correctly through the match-maker, and perhaps, the absolutely brutal learning curve of the Damage-role, and its dependency on having cooperative team mates.
Some DPS don’t really pick up “free” elims, they’re only targeting one person and don’t have any AoE.
Also if you’re just getting rolled it’s HARD to get positive. I had a comp match last night where no one on the team died, and like 2 others where the entire team had like 3-5 combined deaths.
