I heed help x)

Someone have tips for practice my aim with widow?

Sorry for my bad english

Put the reticle on the enemy’s head and press M1. It’s a hitscan sniper.

Omg ty for your help

.

idk half the good widows i face shoot my nuts and it counts as a headshot.

and it isnt even the kill cam which is what people like to say cuz when i play widow i get the same luck. i shoot above the head =headshot. it’s like magic. i only get like 1-2 real headshots in a game.

Custom games - practice against bots until you have a comfortable sens.

Widow HS lobbies to practice/warm-up

Comp for when you’re clicking heads in the previous two.

Zoom sens is tricky. There is no 1:1 setting.

37.89 is good for small flicks.

44-45 for bigger flicks (similar to CS:GO default)

50 for full screen flicks

Your sens + practice are the only two things you need to focus on

Best tip I can give is to aim higher than you think you should. You want to be aiming toward the top of the head hitbox. Aside from that, create custom lobbies where the enemies move at 120% speed and can’t shoot/use abilities, then just practice clicking heads. Also, play her as much as possible in QP/Comp.

Surefour did a great tutorial the week before he won the All-Star Game Widow 1v1 tournament:

I use a palm grip 90% of the time when playing OW, but if I’m playing hitscan like widow, I switch to a fingertip claw grip to do micro-flicks.

I play on 800dpi with 6 sens in game. (38.50 Widow scoped/Ana sens)

don’t go against bots, they enforce bad aiming habits cuz they move nothing like a human would. and a good tip for AD spammers is to keep crosshair steady an wait for them to line up with it, dont track the head trying to get the shot faster. another tip is for crouch spammers is to aim at waste to chest height, then your more likely to either get headshot or at least dmg to followup on.

Dont spent too much time in widow hs only lobby. That will only help to to win widow duel, but wont help your aim much, since widow is almost standing still when scoping, hitting hs on other widow is much easier than moving targets.

I am not great, but I have learnt a couple of things.

You are not trying to do crazy flicks or 180 turn and insta headshots BS.

For the most part, people move predicatively, the bunny-hoppers, the A-D spammers. the straight-line runners.

With widow, I believe you are predicting the enemy’s movement, based on their patterns, and have them simply fall into your cross hair.

For example, if somebody is walking in a straight line one direction, it is far more logical to move your cross hair quickly ahead of them, wait, and fire as they run infront of your cross hair, rather than try and follow them as they move.

It is same for the bunny-hoppers. It’s actually very easily to predict the arch of movement when someone jumps, and it’s almost forced, if they are jumping, they HAVE to move in the arch, which makes their jump-process very predictable for shots.

So for the most part the 2 things you need to get good at is

learning how the enemy moves
learning to press left click when they’re infront of your cross hair.

As you should expect, aim for the head more than anything, learn the timing between widow’s shots, you should always be aiming to wait until the max damage, practice some time just maybe in training just shooting ONLY at max, to feel the rhythm.

There’s lots of heroes that require 2-max headshots in OW, so getting that feeling is key.

With regards to actual game play, I see many widows getting locked into 1v1 widow battles.

Honestly I don’t think this is the best play. Widow isn’t designed for 1v1 IMO she’s designed to pick off short-ranged characters that do burst damage, and healers.

So Widow > Pharah, Reaper, Brig, Hog, Rein, Zarya e.t.c.

If you find yourself locked in 1v1 all the time, ask your team to focus their widow, so you have free space to do some real damage to the enemy.

Killing a widow is nothing, if their reaper just ulted and killed 3 of your team (a common thing this season)

Should add if it isn’t obvious, high ground is key

Try to work on positioning.

The best Widows I’ve gone up against have been masters of flanking round and shooting at you from unexpected directions.

Arguably I should always be ad strafing. But when I think I’m safe I sometimes forget. Then, boom! Dead before I know it.

This. One of the best tips I got for working on my Ashe game came from watching a Jayne video where told a McCree player to look for “soft flanks” and other angles to get cross-fire going on the enemy. You want to attack your enemy from two directions at once to make it difficult (or better yet, impossible) for them to deal with at once.

The way Jayne explained it, during most engagements (especially when one or both teams have a Rein/Orisa), you have clear battle lines drawn. With one team behind their Rein and vice-versa. Picture it as a literal line drawn between the two teams like in dodgeball. Your goal is to help your team by flanking the enemy team and making those battle lines unsafe. This will either get quick picks by focusing the unprotected back line, force some of the enemy team peel in order to deal with you, force the front line tanks to back up or give up positioning to keep their team safe…or (best case scenario) all of the above. If you fail to get any damage but survive, you at least gained valuable recon.

However, you have to make sure that you flank from a position where you won’t be noticed until it’s too late and that you can quickly get to safety (a health pack or return to your team) if you’re discovered. These are called a “soft” flank because you can escape and get back to your team in a couple seconds or less. But if your flank is too obvious or you overextend, you get picked and your team will blame you for feeding. (And they wouldn’t be entirely wrong.)

P.S.: One thing I forgot to mention is that “battle lines” are contextual and change from moment to moment. You will often need to find a new angle to attack from. Also, these angles don’t necessarily have to be behind the enemy. One good thing about Widow is that she can grapple to high places to look above shields, and this is especially a good reason to know how to grapple jump so that you can get even higher and gain a pick before the enemy team can react.
