Need some Hammond clarification

Is Hero 28’s name actually Hammond or is it just straight up Wrecking Ball? The latter seems a bit immersion-breaking compared to the other OW heroes (although I suppose I’m just nitpicking at this point).

Wrecking Ball is his code name.

His name is Hammond.

So I take it he won’t be labelled “Wrecking Ball” when he makes it into the final game?

It will. Just like Amelie is known as Widowmaker, and Akande is known as Doomfist.

Also Wrecking Ball is a huge mouthful to say compared to Hammond. For the life of me I can’t imagine casters picking the former over the latter.

Same scenario as DoomFist. The champion of Junk battle is called “Wrecking Ball” and thats name of hero 28.

Yeah nah fair, I was just surprised reading the entirety of the label. I’d genuinely be surprised if at some point or the other he isn’t referred to as Hammond in the game.

Btw, does Hammond only squeak and make inanimate voicelines like Bastion or can he actually talk like Winston does?
