So basically im a symmetra main because when i first got the game she is the person i was inspired to play, however my friend who i play with near enough every day wont play comp with me if i play symmetra, and there is nobody i can play at symmetras level besides mercy, who i will not play because i hate being a healer, just fixing other peoples mitakes and theyre not active, theyre just passive. The problem is i dont feel the same about any other hero as i did with sym when i got it, i just dont feel inspired to learn anyone else and i dont really enjoy many heroes, what should i do?
Find a better friend?

Try using LFG and put in the title that you like to main Symm, and see if people are cool w/ that and play w/ you.
But keep in mind some folks will try and troll you and instalock Symm if they have faster internet than you because people are rude.
im used to the abuse, i just want to learn new heroes but dont feel the same about them as sym, my friend played her 3 qp matches said shes useless and now i have to learn a new hero to my rank if i want to play comp with him, which i really want to
Sym is very niche. She doesn’t have the highest damage output and her teleporter’s utility is largelt negligible. In her niche (choke heavy defense) she can work but outside that she is an uphill fight that often is carrier by the team. Maybe Rein? Or Junkrat? Your preferences suggest aiming is something you wish to avoid so maybe these are up your alley.

i severely dont understand tanks at a base level and ik this sounds stupid cos im a sym main but i dont like junkrat becuase he doesnt require aim.

And if you hate supports and tanks… that’s half the roster gone. So it should be easy for you to choose at least.

or just spam orbs and get the same results
Very rudimentary aiming. And most syms have their turrets do 3/4s or more of their work anyways.
