Since last patch, I m struggling in some games. Before I had with him very high potential, cuz of long shots even if not critical, team mate could finish enemy, and when I got dived by non-tank = headshot resolved my problem. But since patch, most body shotted enemy just simple walk away.
Sometimes I asked for Soldier, cuz his cadence and aim, but not many players want to help me (yes low ranks, not coordinated at all, and mostly my second dps is shooting tanks…). Can somebody help me what should I do, or how do you adjusted his playstyle?
Ps: Before somebody starts to blame HanzoSpamzo - I play him only last maybe 3 months or so. I was Hog, Lucio, Ana/Zen, Soldier/Sombra and now learning Hanzo aswell. Thanks for helps
Change the character. If you play in low ranks, Hanzo is purely RNG and now with even less value. Not to mention that in the current dive meta, he just gets obliterated, because healing is useless.
Play mobile heroes or get destroyed. There is not much what you can change here.
Play Hanzo like Cassidy now. Play at medium-ish range, close to your team, spam primary fire. Spam storm arrow too. Thats it
Hanzo the Sniper/Flanker is dead. Hanzo the Spammer is his role now. Pretty tragic, they did hanzo dirty for sure in S9.
I dont want to hear this kind of news, but sadly seems like this is the truth. I m higher plat, so I have allways about 50+% hits, still quite often multikills alone but not as consistent as before patch. But some matches looks like I m shooting children toy arrows with those sticky ends .
Here’s what I reckon…
I play Tracer. Have since 2016. I didn’t stop playing her through Brig 1.0, didn’t stop playing her when they nerfed her damage to 5, when they nerfed her spread, or when they started introducing a string of support heroes that can take a perfectly stuck Pulse Bomb and wing it into a dumpster, starting with Bap. By doing this, I learned how to play her at a disadvantage and still win games. My aim today is a vastly different beast than it was in 2017 - merely the benefit of experience.
A lot more people are playing Tracer, lately, which happens any time a patch benefits her - but in reality what I’ve seen are a ton of people switching off Tracer, and onto heroes they’re more comfortable with.
Hanzo is not as good as Widow at securing kills in season 9. Literally no other DPS is - but a practiced, experienced Hanzo will be more effective against a good Widow than an amateur Sombra, Genji or Tracer. He can still one-shot her, and Tracer, for that matter.
Multi kills are harder for every hero in season 9, aside from Rein, Winston and Widow. That’s how it is for you on Hanzo, and how it is for every other player - so here’s my advice:
Keep playing Hanzo. In season 8 he shot logs, in season 9 he fires trees. It is harder for you (and every other hero not named Winston, Rein or Widow) to secure kills this season - but that’s no reason to chase the meta or play heroes you don’t necessarily enjoy.
By playing Hanzo in an environment that doesn’t actively favor him, you will learn new ways to be effective with him - just by making the attempt. When the day comes that Blizzard makes an adjustment that benefits Hanzo, it’ll feel like you’re a martial artist who just took bracelets of weights off your wrists and ankles - and you’ll fly.
I say keep on doing your best on the hero you love. You’ll only get better at it.
Every high burst damage hero is the same. Obviously apart from broken DPS like Cassidy and Ashe who actually got to keep their 2 tap headshot kills.
But look at Zen. It takes 2 headshots on a flanker WITH discord, and a bodyshot to kill them now. Hanzo is no better or worse than anyone else.
Okay, but so he is bit worst than before, so I m happy, that not only I got the feeling that he is not the same.
