Any Grandmaster Doomfist players can tell me where I’m going wrong? Don’t comment if you’re below Master please and you actually play Doomfist and have an open profile.
Hit them with the punchy part
I hit top 500 with Doom quite a few times on console. Ill uodate this as i continue to watch through the video but so far what ive seen is you making two mistakes that dps make within their fields.

Gotta choose the right targets. In the first fight as an example there was a widow alone popping shots. Tracer already flanked, hog already flanked so she was left open with maybe a zen to discord you? You optd to go for the winston solo diving instead whom orisa torb cold handle and it cost you. When you started picking individual targets out of position the fights statted swinging in you guys favor.

Fully commit or escape, never both. With doomfist his style is split into to lightning fast decisions. Burn the cooldowns for the kill or go for the assassination with room for escape. You have to do one or the other, but not both. In one fight a Nano’d Doom came at you and you went for the brawl, when you realized you were gonna lose it you tried to escape. Even if you know you going to lose still go balls to wall. In that case a reverse seismic slam wouldve gave you shields and you woukdve contested, even for a second.

Gotta land those punches. Doom is boom or bust, if you miss key punches you will lose the team fight. Just like widow, his big punchy makes or breaks fights

Know when you burn, know when to save. If a team fight is swaying in your team’s favor its ok to burn you cooldowns for speed but if it could go either way place yourself in a position where your safe to burn cooldowns. One fight you were in such a rush to get back that once you did you were in a position to just feed. Another your team was already winning the fight and you burned ult to hurry up and get back to the fight. Saving that ult couldve helped in a later fight. A simple uppercut slam to highground wouldve sufficed instead of burning ult, which brings me to my next subject.

Always go for high ground. You guys won first point and you went through corridors. Unless areal denial is hindering you for a slam from the top ropes always opt to get high ground. It makes escape and diving targets so much easier.
Ill post more as i see.
Good tips… Gonna try and put them to use. I swear this game wants to keep me in Diamond though. Been smashing it (literally) with Doomfist and still not climbing…
