Nano Visor or Nanoblade?

I’m trying to settle a debate. My friend believes that nanovisor is far worse than nanoblade. I told him that visor is overall a little better because it’s more reliable and easier to get value on. His counter was that blade is far more deadly and harder to avoid. I then said they are both closer to power than he thinks and he refuses to believe it. So I’ll ask the forums is nanoblade or nanovisor better?
Edit: To clarify we will look at the average player base because if we look at high level play nanoblade is better I will agree.

Nanoblade is better. You can block visor with shield or completely eat it with matrix. Nothing blocks dragonblade except suzu, but that counters everything in the game.

That’s understandable. I still think they are closer in power but that’s valid. You could also sleep either ult but Genji might be a little easier to sleep.

How is Genji easier to sleep? He is passively faster than any dps, gets even faster during blade, dashes around with swift strike and has deflect.

Nanoblade is always better if both players have the same skill. You are wrong, OP.

For starters I said “might” be. Not every situation is the same and dash hitbox is generous. Not to mention you have to be at least decent to even pull off blade. Visor is click and shoot safer overall imo.

Blade is better once the Genji hits a certain skill level.

That’s fair I suppose.

Sig rock can stop him. While that seems like an impossible task, landing a slow charging rock on Genji, remember that the rock is big and you know where Genji’s going at all times.

I mean, just like anything else in this game it is situation dependent, but to be honest this one is heavily skewed in favor of nanoblade, in my opinion. Yes, nanovisor is easier to pull off, but nanoblade scales way more with player skill and is way harder to shut down.

I’ll clarify by saying an average Genji and a average Soldier so like plat essentially.

I’ll agree that at the highest level nanoblade is better, I mean more towards like the average player base would it still be better is my question I guess.

nanoblade is way easier to get value on
nanovisor is way easier to shut down

nanoblade is the correct answer in most cases

Blade is completely dependent on enemy cooldowns being unavailable. It cannot be blocked only outhealed or countered by invulnerability abilities.

Visor can be blocked by terrain and any defensive ability.

The real answer is that it’s entirely situational. But for the sake of the thread and putting two things into a vacuum assuming ideal conditions?

Nanoblade->Nanovisor->Visor->Blade

I wouldn’t say way easier to get value on unless you’re very high mmr. Otherwise I’d say they are closer in the average situation.

I can agree with this.

I think you could certainly make the argument that Nanovisor is harder to eff up. It’s just also easier (even for an average player) to mitigate and/or disengage from. One’s boom or bust and one is high baseline value. I can see where you’re coming from there.

Nano Visor is way better against Pharmercy comps what you mean its always better.

I think this is what I was trying to get at. This is a good response much appreciated.

I agree visor is much better against flyers and some high mobility heroes.

Nanovisor has so many simple counters to it, almost every tank has a way to deal with it, and Transcendence shuts it down pretty fast.

Nanoblade bypasses all barriers and can hit multiple players at once, and the counters are much harder to pull off. It can even bypass Transcendence if the swings and dashes are timed correctly.

to counter nano blade u just need to made genji first kill delayed, if u can delay 2-3 sec by using suzu / rock / boop

it usually end up bad for him
