Why does it need to make an instant raid boss with double the health and 50% more damage ? And the insta heal just make it worse, i hate it when i blow thro zarya people to get her under 50 only for her to transform to unkillable raidboss, remove it.

That is how old Ana used to be. If any other support got 300hp (now 250hp) instaheal added to their kit, it would cause such a huge controversy. That is a HUGE buff. Nobody cared because it was Ana.

because nano isnt OP, its relatively short and has to be capitalized on. Cant tell you how many times I try to nano a tank to watch them get insta deleted. The heal allows it to be used somewhat defensively on a single target and imo thats ok

Lol it could be used defensively before, it just wouldn’t reward people for suicidal positioning. 8 seconds is not a short amount of time in overwatch, either… Before the instaheal buff, it was about as effective at saving suicidal tanks as Coalescence or Immortality Field, which is fair value IMO, especially considering Ana already has an instaheal for bailing overextended in the form of her biotic grenade.
No other support ult with as fast a charge rate as Nano can do that. Especially not while buffing the hero. It effectively instantly heals 500hp (when taking the 50% dmg reduction into account) and buffs the target. 750hp if the target is naded and a tank. I would say Nano is the best, easiest and most flexible support ult right now. And as long as you don’t get CC’d as your casting it or the target dies before it hits them, it is set it and forget it instant value.
I think it would be perfectly OK if it healed like 100hp instead, possibly even nothing. Ana need to be looked at for her nade and/or ult, and then revert the heal and ammo nerfs she got because she definitely didn’t need those nerfs, imo. She is super flexible and usable in nearly every comp because of how loaded her kit is, not because of her excessive healing…
It’s fun to get a Genji to half hp just to get Nano’d to full hp and then insta-Blade
Or finally getting that Tank’s hp down, just to get full healed essentially.
The 300hp heal wouldn’t be a problem if the 50% Damage Reduction wasnt ontop of it

I think the amount it heals could be toned down a bit, but having a bit of healing is important in my opinion. Maybe only 100 or 150 instead of the current 300?
And any healing you put into a nano’d target is effectively doubled as well, thanks to the damage reduction, and that’s not even including if they are buffed by biotic grenade too.

It’s an ult, not a short-cd cool down. If you want to talk about things becoming too powerful then you’d best remove them all, that’s their purpose.

1-nano strike
2-graviton
3-Earthshatter
4-meteor strike
…etc
Need i say more ? Why does ana kit all have insta heal ? Primary is ok, nade and ult is not.
Cuz the devs felt Ana wasn’t meta enough.
And that nanoboost has to be better clutch save than resurrection and immortality field combined.
Ana was bad before that change, even then it opens up the ultimate to be used more then just a Nano blade combo.
It was pretty underwhelming before that change, rather inflexible compared to the other support ultimates
You people don’t even know that it’s down to 250 not 300. The devs made this change because they wanted Nano to be used more defensively so that Ana had the option to save a dying tank with it. This was the intended purpose of adding the burst heal and it was a good change
