i dont understand why did they remove the nano emp
but cant remove the nanoblade ???
i dont understand why did they remove the nano emp
but cant remove the nanoblade ???
Because there are a ****load of Genji players but almost no Sombra players.
Well to be fair at least nanoblade is harder than nano EMP, but i agree that they should nerf nanoblade, it“s been a problem for years
Oh yeah that“s why they totally gutted genji with 27 shuriken damage in the last patch, because they don“t want to upset genji mains
Because EMP deals 40% of current HP as damage, while Dragonblade deals flat damage. Sigmaās slam cannot be nanoboosted either.
I mean itās consistent at least. All % based damage cannot be boosted (looking at sigma), I think for balance reasons.
Gutted? It didnāt change any break points except is instant kill combo
It was a bug, nano boost does not apply to %-value damage
Try to play 27 damage genji and see what you will be able to do outside of blade
Current Genji? Feels the same I barely noticed the difference
Genji is entirely breakpoint centered, accuracy has pretty minimal impact on how those breakpoints behave.
Characters like soldier and tracer that have a lot of little hit pellets would feel that damage nerf (Tracer is just bad now), but Genji doesnāt
Then you just admitted that you never played him in the first place, his shuriken went from 29 damage to 27 and that is insane
Because he wasnāt gutted and everyone but Genji mains agree
Bro what kind of logic is this? Lmfao
Itās you either hit the shurikens or you donāt, breakpoints are unchanged.
The only changed breakpoint is 6 crits goes over 250 damage before and now it doesnāt.
3 bodies and 3 crits still does over 200hp, literally nothing changed
It“s simple logic. In OW1 genji had 28 damage shuriken, they buffed it to 30 damage and genji became hard meta
Now put your brain to work and think with me, if going up 2 damage on his shuriken made him hard meta, decreasing his damage from 29 to 27 will have what consequence?
Genji was sent back to being a blade bot and you can see that in any GM genji gameplay
Going up to 30 gave him a ton of new break points, thatās why he became so hard meta, dropping it down to 29 removed some of them but still kept a lot.
27 doesnāt change any others.
Heās now playable without being oppressive. Sorry that you canāt deal with this fact. Iām more inclined to listen to unbiased voices on this.
He“s playable, but in the worst way possible for everyone, reduced to a nanoblade bot
I play tank, just because i don“t agree with you i have a bias? grow up
The problem with this logic is youāre not factoring the new 5v5 environment with significantly less crowd control.
To be honest I donāt think Genji really needed to be nerfed in the first place, he was getting figured out and was dropping off pretty hard, but the nerfs didnāt change anything anyway, so itās whatever.
Having played genji recently, heās still just as braindead as he was before. Never stop double jumping or throwing alt fire > profit. Dash to finish fights and have a reset dash to get out of fights.
Anyone who thinks heās been āguttedā just needs a crutch character to succeed.
I agree with this. However, if the enemy team composition consists of heroes like Mei, Echo, Moira etc he is just completely denied of getting any value. Their aim with OW2 was to balance around one tricks and less switching to hard counters. The only value he can really get is a nanoblade every 2 minutes. Dryblades are also pretty bad. Genji should have an equal chance of winning the duels with at least 28 damage shurikens.
And if people still complain about Genji being the ābrokenā hero with his 27 shurikens tells me they are in the metal ranks and they donāt know how to play against Genji and arenāt willing to change their playstyle and keep their eye on the flanker.
No one is denying that, the problem is which part of him was nerfed. Why not nerf the DPS passive, one of the roots of the problem?
It did, he does way less damage now and encourages a blade bot gameplay
