Name a hero and I’ll come up with some talents

Since those 3 years of work are now being recycled for temporary game modes, let’s just pretend we’re getting them permanently instead before I have a stroke.

Name a hero, I’ll come up with something they could have to make bot genocide more fun. Come up with your own too, why not?

I am tantalized by this Widowmaker mythic; however, she has always been relatively unfun in PvE. How would you go about addressing this problem, Enigma?

How do you make Mercy fun in PvE? Especially since on lower difficulties damage boost isn’t very useful.

Mass rez after the party is wiped

Explosive headshot is a must, just going to yoink that from TF2’s ACTUAL FUNCTIONING PVE!

I think there was an April fools or something where her ult could reveal weak spots, which were secondary crit spots. Doing that on a boss with like a 5X damage multiplier would be amazing.

Bouncing bullet too, like all enemies caught within a Venom Mine will just keep bouncing bullets between their heads until they’re all dead.

Widowmaker could maybe create reusable zip-lines with her grapple instead, which her teammates could also use.

Even something like a faster charging scope would be good.

And maybe replace her primary fire, y’know, Widow: 76. Maybe give it like a hip-fire sniper rifle?

Missiles.

They showed it off in one of the PvE showcases (inconsolable weeping), and it also came back for an event once. Instead of using her healing or damage boost beams, Mercy just shoots missiles that still heal and boost allies in range, but also just do damage.

Mercy could fly faster and further, and also crash into enemies to damage them.

Give her wings a flash-bang that blinds enemies and forces them to shoot wildly (they could also shoot and damage each other in the Feb 2021 Blizzconline thing).

Or maybe if healing missiles aren’t your thing, maybe the healing beams themselves also cause enemies to take damage if they pass through them. This basically creates a spiderweb of death and lasers during Valkyrie.

And I’ll do you one better than mass rez; rez aura. During Valkyrie, or maybe rez, IDK, Mercy gets a visible ring around herself and any allies that die inside the ring during the ability’s duration will be instantly revived. The ability will last a few seconds, so as long as Mercy doesn’t die and you stay inside the aura, just go ahead and melee a boss to death, there won’t be any consequences.

Lifeweaver

Ooh, that’s a hard one.

Maybe take a page from Bloons Tower Defence 6, with the Druids. They can periodically create vines that trap a single enemy, quickly damaging them until they are fully destroyed, and the vines also leave behind thorns which damage other enemies that walk through them. Giving all of Lifeweaver’s bullets a powerful DoT that also leaves behind a pile of spikes sounds fun.

Same thing for Mercy as with his ult I’d say, it’s just a rez Aura and maybe it even gives everyone CC immunity just for good measure.

AoE healing blossoms could work, and maybe they could also apply the same vines if an enemy is close enough to a healed ally.

And having multiple permanent Petal Platforms, or maybe one that Lifeweaver can control the direction of could make for some on-demand high ground.

Actually back to BTD6, the Druids also have Theon volleys, where they can shoot 5-8 thorns out at a time, like a wave of bullets. The amount depends on the upgrade. So letting Lifeweaver shoot out like 20 thorns at once slowly like a shotgun, instead of his constant stream could make for better tank busting.

  • Flying through enemies damages and dazes them
  • Pressing R activates a new ability: Mercy throws out a projectile of light similar to firestrike that travels forward 15m and then returns to her like a boomerang, healing and damaging everything in it’s patch
  • Damage boost also provides a speed boost to Mercy and her target
  • Enemies who pass through Mercy’s beams are dazed and damaged

Let’s do Venture, yup yup monch a rock

I think it’d be cool if they had some sort of underground-based teleport, like the Easter bunny from Rise of the Guardians, mixed with Ash’s ultimate from Apex Legends. Venture can tunnel from one place to another, leaving a hole behind on both ends, and teammates can just interact with the hole to ‘travel through it’ and teleport to the other end.

Tectonic Shock shooting out 4 Earth Shatters sounds fun, plus let’s give it the 360 talent as well.

Venture could shoot out some devastating blast mining projectiles, things that just throw enemies around, causing them to crash into each other. Maybe even some Sigma rock stuns in there too.

Venture could ‘harvest’ enemies by using their quick melee or Drill Dashing into them. The more enemies they harvest, the more scrap they have stored and the bigger their next projectile will be, since they can just launch it all out at once. Imagine just cleaning out 70
Enemies or something with melee attacks, just to shoot an entire house at a boss and one-shot it.

And of course they heal underground, they eat rocks.

They’ll be permanent, but maybe only one at a time, since having even 2 different teleporters that look identical, how will you know which one goes where?

And being able to drill up walls sounds really cool.
