Name 2 good things about OW2

I know this will tempt some to post bad things anyway, don’t. Don’t take the low hanging fruit of negativity!

Just follow the title: name 2 good things about OW2. Sometimes it’s harder to stay positive!

I’ll start:
1 Free to play heroes
2 Improved practice range and AI

2?

UH… UHHHHHH…

the…

how they… uh.

they put…

Juno.
I like juno.

All heroes were free before. changing it to paid and then back I think shouldn’t count.

This is nice.

Two good things… Hmmm

Junker Queen being an actual skill based tank that feels fair to play and play into.

I can’t think of much else tbh… Maybe the “Exit Game” button when you’re on stomp loss streak.

All the new heroes they’ve added to our cast in OW2. Except Mauga.

In-world pings.

I’ll go one better, I’ll give 3

Wall Riding
Booping
Killing Widow so much you force a swap

I had points but then I realized they only apply to ow1 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1) comp mh doesn’t count because they removed it and won’t bring it back as og mh
1) pings which no one but me uses in my games.
That’s it

1 - having found more of a rhythm with the dps role after spending all of overwatch 1 (and most of ow2) terrible at it
2 - the apparent shelving of jade weapons (based on what I’ve been seeing on the forums). They’re mostly ugly as hell.

The ping system; genuinely one of the better things they added to this game

I realistically cant think of anything else. Literally everything else was a downgrade.

2 is the good things.

Free to play everything

  1. It’s easy to just mute and report toxic players
  1. More frequent + bigger balancing patches
  2. The OW1 seasonal events were very limiting when it came to cosmetics and game modes, the new battle pass system allows for so many new themes.

Battle of Olympus, Mischief and Magic, etc most likely wouldn’t have happened if we still had the ow1 seasonal event rotation

  1. When the games are good and you get that rare team that just clicks, it’s so satisfying. Or even a close back and forth game where you feel the game could have gone either way, it’s still satisfying.
  1. I got nothin
  1. OW isn’t your typical all-aim-no-brain fps. It fosters a diverse range of heroes that cater to a number of different play styles.
  2. Skill expression. Despite the game changing to revolve around counter-picking, those dedicated enough and who have essentially become one with their chosen hero prove that the odds can be beaten.

  • Workshop, but now they don’t care for workshop anymore. Its very buggy state.
  • Dubbing/voice over of all heroes in my language
  • Cinematics (comics, hero missions videos, hero showcase videos on youtube)
  1. I think Mercy feels better to play now than she did in OW1. And before the aggros of the forum come in to say “nO sHe DoEsN’t”, I mean in the sense that her movement is a lot more fluid and I like the new superjump meter. In OW1 it felt like I could use the same key combination twice and do completely different things, and I remember often flying into the enemy team because of it lol.
  2. Pings. They are so good.

Creative Skins and Epic, Evenly-Skilled Matches.

Boom

  1. I can logoff
  2. I can uninstall

They made flashpoint a little less lame with the spawnboost…and nothing else

They somewhat decently fixed some map areas
It only took 8 years
