Everyone thinks overwatch2 will be, 2years away heres the thing that’s a speculation not fact and that’s what everyone is saying oh 2021 no 2022 when I think it be out this year in November december time before xmas.
I honestly think it be a launch title for ps5 and xbox series x. Also I believe the reason they not saying anything because we dont have a release date for those consoles yet.
That’s what I think so it’s a timing thing mind you no 3rd party developers have announced games for these consoles yet and I think they been told not to until further notice.
That’s what I think they plan with overwatch 2 is not getting released in 2021 or 2022 but 2020. November december time. They going to have a brief month of beta but overall that’s my thoughts.
Stop taken things out of context and look at relality they haven’t said nothing about the release. But this is my speculation.
And the reason I think this because they announced overwatch 2 on pc xbox and ps4. But my instant thoughts was when happened was why are you releasing the game on these consoles when next gen around the corner wouldnt you wait. And release on their. Just doesnt add up

Overwatch 2 is no where near ready, I can promise you that. Especially with the current health issues the past few months

But how can you promise that we dont know when they started development we dont know nothing at all. Also we dont know if they still can work despite these world events.
But the thing about no way near ready you cant promise that like I cant promise this but why do you think that.
Like did they start completely from scratch or did they just use what they already developed in overwatch 1 and improved upon it. Because if they did that. That’s a big money saver than making a entirely new game
I think it might be delayed with the pandemic occurring right now, especially with the stay-home order in California as well.
Maybe. Maybe not we dont know if it’s possible for them to work from home.
They’ve been working since last year.
They already did a lot, it’s not finished, but they didn’t start yesterday.
Also micheal chu left blizzard, so that means the story is completed and they are just ending

That dont means story is ended. It might as well means they have to rewrite some stuff in his place, or try to follow with what he started.
Main writer leaving dont means he done his work.

But heres the thing did they start last year we dont know they might of started in 2017 2018 most likely 2018 if that was the case mojority of the game is created through overwatch 1 especially mojority of the core machanics of the game
Health problems we have in the world, and the “no more heroes this year” suggest it might not be done this year.
I was at first aslo thinking they wait for consoles, but after that statement i think they gona realise it next year.
OW2 has been in development for 3 years at this point, using characters that had already been designed. Development started in 2017, according to the devs at Blizzcon. The first reports and rumours of OW2 started to surface in 2017 as well.
As for COVID-19, all of Blizzard is working from home at the moment - they’re not shut down. Office jobs aren’t like retail or hospitality; they don’t just shut down - they keep working from home.
That fact that Michael Chu has left indicates that the story is done and probably has been for a while.
A November/December 2020 release is definitely not out of the question. I think we’ll see a Beta well before Blizzcon, though.
A release or preorders at least around Christmas is a pretty common bet actually. 2021 bets are typically overlapping with the Christmas bet and for January/February as well and many even expect beta by Blizzcon.
I think it’s actually rarer to expect the release to lag much behind the Holiday season. Who knows what impact, if any, the coronavirus could have though.
But you could also interpret his quote as “no more heroes for Overwatch this year”, which wouldn’t count adding heroes for Overwatch 2 as it’s technically not Overwatch
Their quotes about everything are all so vague and can be interpreted in different ways, that it’s hard to come to any definitive answers
More safe on their end to be secretive about it
Then what, you interpret it as “no more heroes for overwatch this year, but after adding overwatch 2 we gona realise heroes for overwatch 1 separated” ?
Fighting against speculations with own speculation. Great.
