Hey now no fat shaming!
Again, yes she heals more than Lucio. I did mention that. But for any individual that needs heals, Inspire alone isn’t much help. If a junkrat hits teammates with a single grenade, Brig needs to be able to strike the enemy to get any healing going. And teammates are going to be sitting idle behind cover trying not to die while watching their health only slowly tick up even so (but they still have to be LOS to her to get that healing). If that’s three teamamtes damaged by the grenade, she can use all of her healthpacks to mitigate that, but now she’s out of her major healing source for anyone else. Which means Rein is trying to push with only 21.5 hps to back him up. There’s really no case in which that’s enough.
Brig’s Inspire healing counteracts disjointed, unfocused, intermittent chip damage. For single-target heals, Zen heals more. Zen. Combine Brig’s Inspire and Zen’s orb for a single-target, and you still end up with less than Mercy’s healing.
This is why people were talking about the healthpacks so much (and why I thought healthpacks were the main focus of people’s issues). Because those are the only on-demand and reliable healing Brig has, and they’re also fairly potent healing by themselves. Yes, combine them with Inspire and you have a lot of healing. But Inspire alone isn’t saving the team - it’s only punishing the enemy for unfocused target priority.
