My ow comp this season

i launch the game. i lose 3-5 games in a row (mb 1 draw). then game puts me again to anubis\lunar colony and i alt+f4 till the next day

Keep it up, you’ll eventually get a perma ban from comp so you’ll never have to play comp ever again.

My OW comp this season is good so far. Ended last season at 1602. Placed at 1674 after going 7-3 in placements. I’m currently at 1922. Almost got to gold last night, but lost 2 matches before I went to bed. Having fun!

The fact you are throwing the game yourself gives you no right to complain about it.

Doesn’t say he threw, just that he lost.

It does say that he raged quit because he got put on Anubis and Lunar.

He quit the game. Aka, throwing the game.

I see, I thought you were referring to the loses.

My mistake

how alt+f4 is throwing the game? i loss 5 times (and i always flex so i don’t mind dps\heal\tank. i play everything). i try my best 5 games but nothing (usually it’s teammates who don’t switch at all. was always the problem but this season it is super absurd), i flame and when mm puts me into the 2 maps i hate i just alt+f4 (it’s not throwing. i lose some sr, others don’t lose anything since they will go back to lobby in 10 sec without losing anything).
i’m just explaining that it is ridiculous to have each day like the previous one

Maybe get better at those maps or learn to work with them? Instead of having a tantrum and quitting?

I agree with Alexis

You WILL get those maps again and again so why not play them and improve.

i’m okay playing those maps if they are first or second. but when i flame after lose streak those maps is a freaking strawberry on that spicy cake
(i don’t need to “improve” on those maps. i just hate them in general. i may not be good at “blizzard world” but i still find that map fun to play)

But you’re missing the point. You will get those maps ANYWAYS. I hate Anubis too man, I seem to get it ALL the time, but you can’t throw a fit when you get it. You just have to either deal with it or take a break after some loses to cool off. Go play quickplay or arcade to chill for a bit.

Oasis and Route 66 are my least favorite maps, but I have never quit a competitive match because I was placed in them, even after a losing streak. You don’t quit a match because you don’t like the map, I think that’s what people are getting at.

Although i can understand your pain but Alt+F4 prior to game start =/= long term solution.

imho, Abirvalgo, you should have just stopped for the day after the 3rd loss.

Plus, Hanqz does have a point about throwing. Although you may have alt+F4 prior to the start of game, sometimes the server can be buggy and just start with 5v6. Not saying that it did happen but it very well could have given that stuff is buggy. Anyway, besides the point.

Personally, i hate Hanamura especially on Attack but i am actually fine with Lunar Colony especially after they did the rework to it and there is an way to sneak into Point 2. I just learnt how to better attack CP1 after getting steamrolled in one game on CP1. Fortunately, because i got steamrolled in a much earlier game from CP2 after the rework, i learnt how to better protect CP2 and my team won that game. We held CP2 for 5+ minutes FTW.

Meanwhile, i have been learning to better attack attack Hanamura. CP1 is not much of an issue for me nowadays, learning to better do CP2.

I am sharing this because, like what Alexis and CryingEcho mentioned, there are only that many maps in game and they would always get repeated. Over and over and over again. The only way to get over the hump is to learn them and sometimes learning from the Red Team may be the best way.

It is never a loss unless one does not learn from it, because the gain is knowledge, as what i always tell my kids.

P.S. This is also why i like Competitive mode. Both teams have equal opportunities on Attack and Defence to call it a W or L. Unlike in QP or arcade.
So even if Blue team loses on Attack, they may win it on Defence.
I always like to observe how the Red Team attacks or defend, because next round on the opposite side, they would likely expect / do the same thing from and to us.

Glad someone else is having a good season! Placed 2850 after what was some of my worst placements… Now I’m fairly close to masters and thinking I’ll make it this week!

A good solution would be the dev team implementing a map veto system like every other competitive game in existence has…

so true man , and a similar queing system to other games and like idk a scoreboard like other games 2 man . i mean i know fps are a new thing( lol ) not like it started back in the 90´s, and theres like a set of things that work for these games , and its not like u know we had unreal tournament , quake, call of duty , battlefield etc man, and like the class sistem is like new 2 man , we def never seen anything like it before , like RPGS , MMOS etc and those like only have months , they are more recent then FPS.

but sryly jks aside ure right

i am just going to bloody uninstall and play something else , idk why i stayed playing this game for so long, its just broken

I havent played for 2 seasons, best decision i have ever made.

Overwatch wasnt made for players that want to compete, it was made for casuals to feel good and try to get them to buy as many lootboxes as possible, gone are the days where blizzard made good games for players that wanted to invest hours and hours just to get decent.

Its a shame tho, this game could be one of the best things they ever released and to be honest sometimes i feel like playing, but then i remember what the devs made to the game and i think " i am never going back to that hell hole".
