Im not a fan of the rest of kiri kit but I think kiri two tap is the best thing ever added on the role.
She’s a ninja. She should be able to. Hard agree
Agree. Kiri’s high skill damage impact is something I really like about her.
High crit multiplier with low damage is something I actually love, because it adds skill to a hero without making them less viable. It’s why I don’t like it when people suggest increasing her base damage and lowering her crit.
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
The only reason to play kiri is for kunais

Please dear God no more two taps. And why on support of all things?!
My worst fear is that Space Ranger becomes a 2nd Tracer.
Can’t we just stick to the holy trinity of gaming design for the roles already?!
I think the two tap is fine, but zen has been right there since the start of ow1. It’s not exactly groundbreaking.
I still believe that since dps burst became so out of control that supports got massively buffed in turn.
2 tap is fine, but having a primary that requires one braincell more than Moira primary to use that also 2 taps is bad.
Kiri players don’t aim, they hold m1 and spam adadadad until the eventually hit more shots than the opponent because of her stick playermodel
People need to go away with the mindset “why do supports have so much damage?”
Because supports are now supposed to defend themselves or avoid the contact to enemies. Its really crazy that some people still have a OW1 view of the game…
Oh really? What happens during down time?
Supports get cheeky shots or worst cheese kills now.
What was suppose to be used defensively is now used to create an oppressive situation.
OW1 was defensively. In OW2 its also offensively, because they dont have the peeling of a 2. tank anymore and have to do it themself. Couple that together with finally more options for more situations and a skill issue of most DPS players and you have what we have now.
The only supports who still need nerfs/reworks are Bap and Ana. The rest is fine.
The only thing I like about it is that it does give supports a good midfight swap option against snipers, which the role has traditionally struggled against.
I think it has too much impact and I don’t really see the justification for it though. Kiriko is a prime example of powercreep and it’s ugly cousin, ability creep. We need to get powercreep under control, not lean into it, because powercreep does nothing in the long run except shift the balance of power away from elements like mechanical skill, positioning, and cooldown management and into swaps and meta play. Swapping has been and always should be a key part of the game, but it’s far too powerful right now, and that’s all thanks to powercreep.
Supports are far from the only role guilty of game altering powercreep, they are just the most recent, though I will admit the recent string of nerfs did more than I thought they would. Kiriko would still be able to make snipers think twice with regular crits, especially if the rest of the powercreep in the game were brought under control. She’s still got no damage falloff and a hitbox the size of a pencil.
Every time I read something like this, I know that the person talking about this is either: Top500 player and plays in a bubble or has no idea what they are talking about.
This Kiriko hate is ridiculous and nothing nowhere indicates that Kiriko is a problem. She is more UP and OP and has negative stats even up to GM. I understand that top500 players complain, because how crazy the Kirikos are, but aside from the 20 Kiriko players or so at the top (I think the most top500 supports are Bap, Illari and Ana), there is no problem.
Parroting what some top500 players say its completely stupid without knowing that really happens in most games (including GM btw).
Kiriko might have the Hanzo issue that some people might get killed during spam from her in a choke, but other than that there is not much a Kiriko will do, besides cleanse the debuffs if you dont bait suzu out (its her niche btw).
Prime example does not mean the only example. She’s only one small part of a much larger problem. The issue isn’t Kiriko alone, the issue is the general power level of the game. Kiriko’s overabundance of abilities is just an easy thing to point out, but it’s far from the only thing causing problems.
Also I play a lot of Kiriko, especially when my tank goes something she synergizes well with. I seem to play her well and I’m still going to get while the getting is good. I’m not on the outside looking in.
Zen say no we cant, support is there to do dmg.

a lot of people here are still stuck with the same mindset that this game is somehow ow1 xd.
If anything is to change and stay about Kiriko, I certainly hope her kunai stay as-is and either of her her abilities can be sacrificed. Hell, if people really throw a hissy fit and she has to be moved to Damage in order to keep her attack, that’s fine by me. It’s not what I want, but it’s a trade I could live with.
Kiriko is the best counter-sniper and one of the few Supports who has any chance at fending off one of the many flanking spike/burst assassins. Removing the threat of her kunai would just mean Widowmaker, Hanzo, Genji, and Sombra would have even less to fear, and those four already get to treat most players like punching bags.
Yes, if damage drop off gets added. Make it a skill shot not a spam shot.
genji can’t kill with just 2 shurikens.
No other projectile has to suffer that. Hitscans have dropoff because they strike instantly; projectiles don’t have dropoff because they have travel time. That’s the trade.
No, but he throws three at a time in two patterns, has an offensive dash, can block damage, can reflect damage, has a double jump, a faster base movement speed, and a much more powerful ultimate. These all add up to much higher damage potential, specifically burst damage which equates to more and faster kills.
You’re not trying to suggest Genji is a less capable assassin than Kiriko, are you?
