My hands shake a lot when i play ow

its really annoying and it usually happens for the first hour of me playing. it really sucks because ill start playing with really good aim for the first 2 minutes, then my hands start shaking really bad and it becomes really hard to move my mouse in steadily. any advice?

I would recommend playing with your mouse either lower or elevated see if that helps also try having ur arm more stretched out. could possibly be strain related maybe try boosting ur sensitivity a bit so you can get more movement in game without having to move your whole arm just ur wrist.

In addition to what the fellow above said, check to see if you are flexing any of the muscles along your arm while you play. Sometimes people flex or clench as a reaction to stress or positioning and as the muscles get exhausted they start to shake.

Alternately, do you eat or drink while you play? The effects of sugar, simple carbs or caffeine is magnified when you sit still for long periods. A few chips or a cup of coffee you wouldn’t even notice while walking around or doing something can cause a significant reaction when holding shock still.

SLOW deep breaths. The shaking is most likely the fight or flight mechanic in your body, so you can control it by the same methods people use to control anxiety.

Slowly breath in through your nose while counting to 5. Slowly breath out through your mouth while counting to 5.

Accept you are anxious, and that the breathing will help.

This usually calms me down.

^ I do this. I get really anxious while I’m playing, so I just try to relax. Sometimes listening to relaxing music while I play helps, too.

Listening to Tchami helps me calm down pretty good.

Crank that sense down. It might be weird at first but low sens is good! It takes away the on screen effects of some of those quicker jerkier movements. You just have to get used to using your arm to make fast turns because it takes more space.

I can see how hat would work! I mostly just listen to Lofi Hip Hop Radio.

It can be adrenaline rush too. I get it too =p

It takes a while to get use to it in very tense games.

I can vouch for this. I personally use twitch aim, so it’s not as much of an issue for me. But if you want smooth aim, you’re going to need to turn your sensitivity down. Also make sure that your DPI is higher than your sensitivity so that you don’t end up with pixel skipping.

Whaaaaaaat? No. That’s patently ridiculous. I say this as somebody who sits “shock still” entirely more than I should.

I agree with this. I’m of the opinion that this is the result of your nerves effecting you. When I used to play action quake 2 and I was the last person left on my team, the exact same thing used to happen to me.

Its very dependant on your habits, the size of your body, and how much you’ve been taking in. A perpetually moving person will feel the effects of this very early, while a more sedentary person may never notice it happen. A 50 kg person might start shaking after one small coffee while a 100 kg person might need two pots to get there.

I need coffee to stave off the headaches.

That’s fair. Guess I can’t speak for everyone.
