As posted, my GPU fan speed keeps getting locked to 23%, despite my ensuring theyre set to 70%. MSI Afterburner always seems to crash and my fans just turn to goop and then the game plays terribly. It only happens when im playing OW.
The Overwatch client doesn’t have a hand in setting your GPU fan speeds, only your driver and the OCing software you’re using would be responsible for that. You may want to reach out to MSI’s support to see why this is happening.
So, I figured it out! And thank you so much for your speedy reply. It was only happening in OW because of MSI DragonCenter conflicting with MSI Afterburner when Gaming Mode was activated for OW. I disabled Gaming Mode and the problem has terminated. Gameplay is back to being excellent. Thanks again!
