You can literally tell how pumped I am coz it is so much fun! Like for real stuff actually be dying. Damage matters, there is not magic 1-100% hp all the time. Constant action. Genuinely kills matters. Like for real bring this back pls. Every support DLC hero and tank DLC hero has been a utter complete design failure that only made the game worse.

Is it? I’m getting match after match of 2 Reins, 2 Bastions and 2 Mercys on the enemy team and nothing ever dies on their team no matter what we do.

im stoked too… kinda wish even with the whole point being nostalgia and true to the actual times I do wish some quality of life made it to the heros though… Hog being stuck in place during breather doesn’t feel right… hook being unable to point where you want to place them is lame… and it isn’t even hook 1.0, it’s hook 1.0(with 2024 bug fixes).
Other issue is they probably should have released this as role limits so you can’t have 5 reins 1 support… trying to bust down 10,000 HP shields that can be cycled and recharged before you even finish half the shields is actually broken - people of 2024 know how to abuse this. “Things are actually dying” you say lol.
IMO the biggest thing I’m absolutely digging is despite all of the downfalls and obviously bad design from back then I can overlook ALL of it because there is ZERO clash, push, flash trash maps. You get all the classic hybrid/escort/koth your heart can desire… I actually kind of like 2cp I honestly think they could have saved that mode with clever map redesigns and just added an extra 2 check points on each one to convert them into 4cp… they did that for some of them anyway during “events” and I found those actually fun.
That is hilarious. Thou yea for that very reason duplicate heroes should go bye bye and it was genuinely among the first things they scrapped.
Well yes, it’s a nostalgia mode why wouldn’t it be as chaotic as it was back then, no limits will be gone in a few days so this will not happen anymore.
Can’t judge 6v6 as a whole from the format that lasted less than 3 months.
I’m not. I loved 6v6, I don’t love this.
This isn’t what I played and what I remember. I came in when Sym had 6 turrets and a mini shield and so did Bastion, when Orisa was there, when Mercy had mass Rez.
I can’t enjoy Classic because it’s not the Overwatch I loved. It’s alien and honestly I hate it.
People are having so much nostalgia over this and loving it despite it’s many, MANY flaws but I can’t enjoy it at all because I came in later and have no nostalgia for this.
I know I’m whining and going “but what about me???” but it does massively suck I’ll never get to experience the Overwatch I know ever again.
