That’s pretty impossible. Do you know how many Gabriel Reyes there are in the world? And Reinhardt is the most common German name to ever exist. There’s always going to be someone with the same name as a fictional character.

The key is to not publicly, or privately for that matter, admit they are named after a specific real person.

Name coincidence happens, and that’s all it will ever be.

I genuinely have no idea how to feel about any of it. It’s a lot of cruddy information (cruddy in the context and the impact, not that it’s faulty). And I’m not sure what the best course of action.

I can understand that the character and the doodoo head involved in the SA being separate entities although the name inspired the name of the character.

I can also understand why people want them separated now due to the association.

I’m just conflicted.

It’s a reference to McCree writing under this alias. Sombra implies that she not only knows it’s him, but that Joel is the real name. Which McCree adamantly denies
