I’ve seen a few of these, I use a top down view on balance, and have a little bit of experience, across all games I’ve played I have friendly arguments over balance, including this game. Ideas that I come up with, with the data presented to me.
Brigitte:
- Shield bash no longer stuns. Instead, it will be given more knock back.
It’s no secret the community hates stuns on low cooldowns, so let’s remove the stun all together, without taking Lucios role. We will also ignore the ptr nerf to her cooldown, but keep the armor change, this should be enough.
Genji:
- Reduced deflect cooldown by 1 second.
Quite a small change, but it’s recent nerf along with the CC meta has made him near useless. Just a simple change that probably won’t make a difference to win rates, but it’ll feel better to play.
Hanzo:
- Reduced Storm Arrow damage from 80 --> 75.
While still being able to one shot Tracer, I feel as if it does too much damage, you never saw 3k scatters, but 3k Storms all the time, even as a Hanzo main of 4 seasons I can see this.
Ana:
- Allow her to nano boost herself in all modes.
Outside the Memes, this would be great for stalling in those times when you absolutely have to, but have no nano target, or to save yourself from a dive.
- Convert 50 of Ana’s health, to shields.
This allows Ana to have more after fight sustain, as her nade only heals her for 100 so under 100 hp she needs to grab a kit, or another support has to heal her, this would be another way to keep her in fights longer, too.
D.Va:
- Increase the time it takes for defense matrix to recharge by 20%.
Dva is a very, very strong hero. She pretty much made dive viable by herself, and has nearly 100% playtime in the OWL, while her bully potential is great, she needs a defensive nerf to balance out her offensive capability.
McCree:
- Increase his initial falloff range by 10 meters, and all other ranges respectively.
This allows McCree to be slightly more viable at range, since his falloff is so severe, I believe this is all he needs, as he’s shut out by dive and the CC meta, but has strong dps.
This is the list of changes I’m set on, but heroes that need changes I haven’t decided on are Doomfist, and Sombra. They’re both tough to balance, but I know DF needs some survivability buffs, and they’re being changed soon anyways. I’d like to hear what people think of these, I made one way back and some of those changes eventually went live, like soldiers old dmg nerf.
