My battlenet account banned with no reason(penalty removed)

Hi! My account has been banned(BLZBNTTAS00000006), and I don’t know why this happened, I got an email just say I got banned, I haven’t play any game, please give me a reason why my account has been banned. By the way, I use another account to post this topic.

I registered on 2th July and bought Overwatch2: Watchpoint Pack which was paid by WeChat. I’m in China this year. The reason why I registered in the EU area is that I’m going to study in the UK next year. So I could play Overwatch2 with my mates in the UK and link phone number and add money easily. I’ve not played Overwatch1 in this account since I bought the game. I don’t know why my account is hacked and banned when I haven’t played any game. You can see the time and the level of my game would be 0. I only watch OWL on YouTube to get free tokens and played in Overwatch2 PvP Beta last month.

And there is another thing that I want to mention is that I need to use VPN to log in this account in China to get a more optimized network, which means the location displayed on my account might be different each time. But I don’t think network software violates your rules. And I only log this account on one computer that I am using.

To be perfectly honest, I bought Overwatch2 Pack and haven’t even played the real Overwatch2, and you banned my account, it sounds stupid and ridiculous. Please help me solve this problem, I would appreciate it.

Hi BoWang, that all sounds super frustrating, but I don’t know if anybody on this forum will be able to help you. I would recommend a Blizzard support ticket asking them what happened to your account here Blizzard Support

Good luck man. These kinds of things are so annoying to deal with, I hope whatever problem your having works itself out somehow.

Thank you, my friend. I have submitted tickets to Taiwan, EU and US support. Taiwan has responded, saying they’re convinced I violated something but didn’t give me any reasons, and they wouldn’t do anything to unlock my account. That’s terrible. As I said, I haven’t played the game, I don’t know what kind of things I could violate. I’m waiting for other tickets responses. Do you know other methods to sove this problem or contact battlenet support?

I’m sorry, that’s all I have, Blizzard support has never been very good unfortunately, as Blizzard is just… a not very good company.

it’s threads like these that force me to not play on my main.

exploited broken system, too many false positives, etc.

u can be banned while being offline for months.
who is honestly going to buy $30 skins when they can be yoinkt for any/zero reasons? f2p will make things 10x worse with all the burners spam reporting people offline.

if u value ur digital assets, stay logged off and go into “archive” mode until they get these issues sorted out…which basically implies new/better employees because at this point they’re just mocking their loyals.

After careful investigation of your game account, your “World of Warcraft” game account has been confirmed to violate the Blizzard End User License Agreement, and during the violation period, there is no sign of the account being stolen, so we confirm that the punishment is a correct judgment, and will uphold the original judgment.

We base all of our actions on the severity of the violation, and take previous violations into consideration. This action has been taken in accordance with the Terms of Use and our In-Game Policies (Blizzard's In-Game Code of Conduct - Blizzard Support), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to participation.

So you got globally banned due to another game? huh, didn’t know that could happen.

Guess it’s good to know.

IDK if you were trying to trigger all flags possible mate but you kind of did. Where to start … lets see :

1 - Check if the actual payment for the pack has not been reversed
2 - The region of the account can be changed if you travel abroad afterwards, if you were going to connect from China and use a Chinese payment, that doesnt look good for an EU account.
3 - Using VPNs is not good either, because if they sniff / steal your details and connect themselves afterwards from the same IPs and use bots … you are taking the hit
4 - If you havent actually played OW at all, you can refund it, since you have 0 hours played, it should be possible.
5 - The ban seems to be on WoW, so playing OW should be fine. They dont ban the entire battle.net, but only the game that the violation was done in.

Good luck.

Hi, my friend.

I’ve never ever had and downloaded this “World of Warcraft” game, actually.

They ban the whole account for all games. I can’t even log in to the official website, this is my other account.

They don’t say which specific rule I violated and what kinds of my behaviour make this happened. :sob:

What rules can I break without playing any games? :sob:

did you bought this account or did you made it yourself and then got the watchpoint with wechat? idk what is wechat but what if this gave them some red flags and got you banned?

I have an account in China, but this account cannot be used in other regions and cannot change, only for China.

I’m pretty sure the payment was successful. Since the account cannot be logged in, refunds cannot be made at all.

Wechat is a paypal in China. I didn’t bought the account . This is my account, I register and pay by myself.

Then you are going to have to ask for a chargeback.
Like I said, things you said you did trigger a lot of red flags dude. if the ENTIRE Battle.net is banned, my guessing is that it has to do with the payment, the region you registered in and where it was being accessed from (again, VPNs are not good at all for that).

Good luck.

this is a weird ban, hope you sort it out

Yeah to me it sounds like something happened with a payment. Payments are usually reason for a global account ban.

I had my main account get banned for this reason, they claimed “Account Compromised” though and later on said I was cheating.

Yeah, unlikely to be cheating considering I yknow, don’t cheat. The account was global banned just like yours is now.

Why does it says WoW? Maybe is unrelated to OW?

I feel bad for you. These GMs wouldn’t say anything useful. This accident told me not to pay any money in Overwatch 2. You accounts might be banned for no reason at any time, even you haven’t play the game, even before the game is released. I quit enjoy this game, to be honest. But this time I was really disappointed.

Best warning if I want to play Blizzard games in other continent.

In other therms they check your IP and suspected enough to boted in WoW and ban account. I think they caught you by mistakes with their bot ban and get account close.

Actually, I don’t own the “World of Warcraft” game and have never played it. Another GM said it’s related ow. I don’t know why what they say is always contradictory. But I haven’t play overwatch1 too. This is a new account, only for ow2 next year when I’m in the UK.

Hello

This action has been taken in accordance with our Code of Conduct (Blizzard's In-Game Code of Conduct - Blizzard Support), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing Overwatch. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all our players. Our Battle.net Terms of Use can be found at http://blizzard.com/company/legal//eula.html

We now consider this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion on the subject.

Their terrible report system is the main reason nobody should be sending them money for cosmetics regardless of how much one might want them and be willing to spend on them.

The report system is a complete disaster.

It fails at effectively taking actions on players who behave poorly in games. It also fails because it is easy for someone to get false banned by bully behavior from groups. Quite literally the worst possible situation for any report system.
