We were fighting on a control map. We just got three kills and were at a high percentage on the last map. IMO the game’s pretty much won.
The game then gives me some server error and moves us all, both full teams, to a completely new game on Midtown.
I’m sorry but no. Restarting a game entirely, without my say so, isn’t a good solution. Changing maps, changing modes and not preserving scores is just not ok. I’d rather go back to the menu. I don’t see how this is better than just starting a new game myself if that’s what I want. If it’s not what I want, like I have something to do(u know, like get a drink or pee) then I gotta quit out and get penalised?
You adding a feature that was never needed. Fix false reports or hacks instead
That’s happened to me before, but does anyone know why it happens? Is it a bug? The game just decides you’re playing a different, new match for no reason?

Had that last two months. We almost won in two maps and it moved to other map.
It’s always come up with an error in the chat log for me in the past, saying that there’s been a problem with the server. So it’s brought on by some sort of server-side hardware hiccup, presumably, as opposed to some sort of coding bug.

Ya i had that happen plenty of times in the 8 years playing this game but i don’t think that ever happens in comp? Would just end the match right?
I see this error when it happens “the server closed due to unexpected error”. Something must have gone wrong with server. It must have gone to sleep.
It does happen in comp as well. The game will think you left and you would get suspended.
