Mousepad is moist uWu

So I am GM DPS/support but the moment humidity in my country goes up high (which is often) aiming becomes impossible and I know its my soft cloth mouse pad as when its 90-100% humidity on avg aiming becomes impossible.

Now I would love suggestions for a new mousepad preferably from someone in my skillrange who is Hitscan and also suffered from this problem and fixed it, or someone who lives in a swamp like me but never had issues.

TLDR: I need a new pad that aint to glidy and wont make my mouse feel like its dragging through mud when the swamp is airborne.

I…did not expect this to be a legitimate thread holy crap lmao

How big of a mousepad are you looking into? Full-desk size or standard?

get a hien mousepad, they use special cloth that prevent humidity from making it feel like a mud pad

XL range, I just got rid of 3 XXL pads, a pain to clean xD

Got suggested this one before but was doubtful because cloth, will order it and try it as I am ordering multiple to test.

trust me, you wont need another mousepad after buying a hien, i have one myself and its extremely good, the best one is the hayate otsu but if your looking for something soft then i recommend the zero, all of them are extremely durable

Well one way to find out ^^
The hybrid or the harder pads are just to low friction making the mouse fly at mach 9.

all of them have a soft option, the difference between the hayate otsu and the zero is how course they are, i own a hien artisan and it is like sandpaper, but it is very soft if you press on it.

I just ordered the Artisan Zero XL (if thats the correct one) and the Razer Strider + Artisan Hayate Otsu V2 SOFT XL.

I will just gift friends the ones I dislike, lucky them but I am so done with my mousepad turning into a swimming pool cuz my country has to be below sea level.

yeah, if you wanted a soft mousepad thats the safest one in terms of friction and it wont make your mouse into a fighter jet lol.

the razer strider is basically a artisan hien mousepad, hayate otsu is a mix between the zero and the hien

It sounds like you’re not interested in hard pads, but I really like my Razer Atlas. I had a similar issue in that my mousepads always got wet/grimy and over time I could tell a noticeable difference in different areas of the mousepad. I have probably a dozen different cloth mousepads that i bought and cycled through, but tbh I think that’s inevitably always going to be an issue with cloth mousepads. That’s just the nature of the material.

Hard pads sadly adds another discount to my aim, had tried many but they lack stopping power.

Let us know which of the above you end up sticking with. If I ever decide to try another soft mousepad I’m always open to recommendations

I will post my pick here in a week or so after some testing.

If that doesn’t work I am gonna go apeshiz and get an AC with climate control installed and I do not care if it causes a draught at that point.

Did you ever decide on one?

The solution is humidity control not new mouse pads.
