So basically, I’ve been playing on 1600dpi/1.76 and various ingame senses for months now, and I know how those sensitivities feel and I am used to them, but ever since I downloaded the latest ptr update yesterday and played on it(might have been like this before as well, but that’s where I noticed it first) it feels like the dpi got doubled or something. 1600 feels way more than that, and I tried 400 dpi(I used to play on it so I know how slow it’s supposed to feel) feels like 800 dpi all of a sudden for absolutely no reason, even outside of Overwatch. I did not install any updates or any programs that could have caused this to happen, it just seemed to change overnight.
My mouse is a Razer Taipan and I tried reinstalling the drivers and Synapse but it didn’t make any difference. I’m honestly lost as to why this is happening.
Edit: Apparently there was a speck of dust or something on the mouse sensor, because after some compressed air it went back to normal.
Edit2: Nope, that didn’t help. It’s still way too fast, and it’s not just my mind playing tricks. I had to arm aim with 1600/1.76 on widow, now I can turn 360 with very little wrist movement. I have no idea what this is but it completely messes with my muscle memory.
Edit3: Seems like closing the new PlaysTV app fixed the issue. Going to send them feedback about it.
