So I decided to try something… I would flick to targets from close, mid screen , and corner of screen. Then I would keep adjusting my Sens until all the flicks landed on the target… The problem is after doing this all my flicks were awesome but my cm / 360 boomed to 78cm/360… is this even playable? Its fairly comfortable.
My question is… is this what my body natural requires to flick or is this engrained from something already and to change it I just need to practice with something thats viewed more practical like 30cm/360. and Then I can flick like I am at 78cm but with 30cm???
depends on the heroes you play, as widow soldier mccree ashe pharah etc. you’ll be fine
as Winston genji tracer doomfist hammond you will probably have some problems
There are like, 2 pro players that use that low of a sens but this is still very extreme.
lots of hardcore competitive fps players play on low sens, for the consistency and control of movement; you just need a bigass mouse-pad , and to get used to using elbow/arm personally i recommend trying high dpi and LOW SENSITIVITY because it’s much smoother, but it’s personal preference.
lower sensitivity is better for flickshots, tracking is generally better with slightly higher sensitivities so that it’s easier to follow fast moving/strafing targets
I’m a genji and hitscans player. My sens is 2.5 and 1600 dpi which is perfect for my tracking and flicks. I can also do genji stuff since one sweep across the mousepad is a 180 flick. Id say it’s my perfect sens even though it’s pretty slow
the technique for sens/dpi has been, place your mouse at the far left of mouse pad, move it to the far right, you should do 1 full turn (360 degrees) + a bit more (I like an extra 1/8th turn. The extra is because if you need to do a full turn, you more often than not need just a bit more.
Been like this since HL-MP, quake and unreal tournament for a reason.
If you exclusively (yes exclusively) play heroes that require exact aim go a touch lower, if you play heroes that are always making large mouse movements go a touch higher.
I use 800/3.5 sens or about 45.72 cm/360
yours is to fast for me
You making mistake here. You see, the view is a sphere and due to different V and H dimensions (Also add fov as distruptor) things a kinda screwed up.
To be short - short flicks and flicks to half of screen are not same. If you calibrate your settings to short flicks, it will have negative effects on very wide flicks and vice-versa.
78cm/360
Mine is around 45 I believe. 3200dpi and 1 in-game sensitivity
