Same happens to me. the overwatch app closes and then both my mouse and touchpad stop working. It happened twice already - Only fix is restarting the pc, but this is honestly ridiculous

I seem to have the same problem. I use HyperX pulsefire haste. It’s a great mouse, but it freezes every once in a while for 2 seconds, then it snaps to where the mouse should be. It’s even visible in my potgs. This problem only happens in Overwatch 2 and not in my other games or applications. I tried reinstalling Overwatch 2 and updating my mouse driver but the problem would persist.
I like this game a lot but this issue is such a killer.
Any help would be appreciated.

i got this too and im pretty sure its discord overlay. discord overlay actually messes up like everygame from crashing it on startup or lagging input and mouse movement so just always have it off. or it could be something in the power saving options
i get this as well and it’s not discord overlay since that’s not even intalled for me.
My PC is dedicated OW + 3 other games machine. It doesn’t even browse the web for less risk/exposure. Latest hw/drivers stack etc. It only bugs out in OW and not the other AAA installed.
I had this same issue today. My cursor would freeze every now and then for a couple seconds over and over. I have never had this issue before. I found out that steel series software (SteelSeries GG) had a update to add a cool feature called “Moments” to allow you to record clips when pressing a combination of buttons.
Long story short I deactivated Moments and am no longer having any issues.
PS. I do use discord overlay with no issues and nvidia gforce

same mouse here, wireless version. dont have problems with it anywhere else, just in ow2 
really annoying to play

Suffer from the same issue. Today it unplugged the mouse and the usb adapter for my headset at the same time. I was terrified.

It seems like my problem is connected with overheating. Tried to connect the mouse to different usb ports. And noticed that at the peak of the game the concrete ports are disabled.
That is weird because I played many games and only ow2 leads to these terrifying consequences.
I followed the pieces of advice which mentioned a few posts above: turned off discord overlay, turned off battery conservation mode. And moreover decreased fps limit from 190 to 140.
Eventually my input lag was increased a bit. But GPU temp decreased by 10-15 degrees. And so far the problem has gone
For people who use the Glorious Model O, I may have found a fix.
I first noticed the freezing in OW2, but I realized it happened everywhere when I made fast/vigorous mouse movements.
I fixed it by turning the polling rate to 125 Hz, applying, waiting a bit, then turning it back to 1000 Hz.
I also have the LOD under mouse parameters on 3mm, but I don’t know if it’s related.

btw im gonna upgrade soon for glorious model o 2 hope its gonna fix the proble and my LOD is 2mm why did u put at 3mm
