Just a question for PC players. What is the best or most popular gaming mouse currently? I still have my razor deathadder from a few years ago that still works fine, do people still use them? Are razor mouses solid and good quality?
My second question is about dpi, is the max dpi for razor mouses solid or does the cursor skip? And is it fine if I put max dpi then put my sens down so it feels comfortable? I hate switching up my dpi sens or having to get used to changing it.
Finding a good mouse is all about preference, as long as the sensor is considered good and its comfortable for you, its a “good” mouse. Now as for DPI, generally, you don’t want to go past 1600 DPI just as a failsafe, because all mice have a cap for DPI in which it does 1 to 1 tracking of the sensor. (I think that’s what happens, and the number is different for each mouse. For example, on the SteelSeries Rival 310, they state the 1:1 tracking is only up to 3500 DPI) I personally like 1200 DPI, 3.5 in-game sens.
Depends on your hand size, your grip, if you prefer lighter or heavier mice, etc.
What you do need to focus is the sensor, build quality, and maybe the format (is it would slip when you have to lift it).
Rocket Jump Ninja is a good youbute channel to see practical reviews for mice
This is a list with what he considers the best mice right now, but as he says himself, the order in the list will change for each person’s preference. http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/top-40/
And Deathadder is on the list
I do not own a deathadder. Based on my current mouse, which is almost the same weight, I would prefer a mouse 10-20% lighter after some hours of playing, but I don’t think it’s reason enough to buy another one.
As far as finding perferences, you might also consider comparing to what pro overwatch players use. Here is a great webpage with all of the current known settings for a majority of the pro overwatch community.
I personally am training myself to match Birdring’s sensativity settings across the board and it is working out nicely.
I use the ZOWIE FK2 which is basically a mouse pros use but smaller edition. I know Logitech or Razer are becoming quite common now but I like my mouse it’s just what I’m comfortable with.
Dpi and ingame sensitivity is really only your choice we can’t choose what you’re comfortable with. But we sure can tell you what we’re comfortable with. I have 800 DPI and an in game sensitivity of 5 not too slow and not too fast. My ideal sensitivity. It’s better to have a higher dpi and lower mouse sensitivity I think. I’m not sure so I’m not going to advance on it. Cheers!
