So I hope to get better clarification on why there is no official M&K support on console yet?
People use the argument: “But that’s an unfair advantage/ That’s cheating/ I hate XIMMERS.”
But
Why not use the same system they use for CoD? In other words, put mouse and keyboard users in the same lobby (PC Lobby).
I don’t see any issue in giving players a choice.
Sidenote: I have a PC on which I usually played Overwatch but it’s not in working condition anymore.
With that being said, a lot of people don’t have money for a gaming PC anyway.

You would think they would do this considering they have cross play setup to support it. Yet they dont. Its a head scratcher

If they add mouse and keyboard support then we should also get wider FOV support and hopefully they allow you to disable/enable screen tearing!

It’s not that easy, apparently. They are actively working on punishing M&K users on console because they also get aim assist. The punishment is that eventually you will get put into PC lobbies with no aim assist after enough reports.
I would love this, but it’s sickening how people still use XIM to bypass the PC Lobbies on Fortnite and COD to dunk on controller users. That’s how pathetic these people are to go so far to have a huge advantage.

Does fortnite split PC and console players? I play every day but don’t know
My best guess is that they don’t want to divide the console queue by input type; whether the reasoning behind that has to do with player population concerns, worries about not having suitable protections in place to prevent people swapping input method after they’re queued into a game, or something else, I don’t know.
It’s because they’re a little slow and also because integrating an input-based matchmaker would more than likely cost them a ton of money.
No, they don’t, but that’s only because aim assist is broken in those games on the controller.
They should first make sure their xim detection is on point cause just because you might play fair and plug in a MNK directly doesnt mean the ximmers will
because masters on console are like golds in pc (or so i have been told)
bc of ximming, if they get put in PC lobbies they are still cheating and have an unfair advantage over legit players.
By implementing official M&K support, they would have to disable aim assist, but the whole point of ximming is that you get the aim assist whilst pretending to be on controller, so they just ban m&k support until they actually do something about ximmers

I knowwww I think about this all the time I really don’t get why they don’t just be doing that really frustrating that me a console player can’t do as much as I want to bc I HAVE to play with a controller I think it would be better for them to do sum like cod or siege where u plug in a mouse and keyboard and it puts u in pc lobbies or pc + console players in the same lobby it’s also more likely someone on pc in top 500 would easily tell if someone is cheating like using a XIM cant lie those people be crazy and I can’t even tell myself but I feel like the game is very competitive and can’t really be that competitive when a lot of them good SKILLED not cheating players (not all lmao) are on pc even though the game is much faster on pc having both console players and pc players in the same lobby i feel would balance it enough but tbh they really gonna have to work on the matchmaking again so therefore i would just plug a keyboard and mouse in and only be able to play with pc sad that they did probably make sum money off dis game and then starting killing it when they was done and now they just started doing sum when marvels came out and the player base dropped hella
