Mouse Acceleration

Apparently Windows 10 has such using the term “Enhance Pointer Precision”

That’s good to know

It definitely must be turned OFF asap. You can tell by slowly moving your mouse and testing to make sure your cursor ends up in same location.

Idk what made me consider testing such but when I moved my cursor as slow as possible I ended up not reaching the 180 turn around location when moving the mouse at a more normal speed.

Once I noticed something was off I google searched Mouse Acceleration and corrected such immediately.

I dont want to bump a dead post but Im convinced he is wrong. There is literally no reason to have Mouse Acceleration turned ON.

Windows mouse acceleration doesn’t work on Overwatch in the first place. If you want mouse acceleration, you need to use another program like RawAccel. I use it personally and I honestly can’t go without it anymore.

I’m like 99% sure that the game uses raw input that bypasses the windows settings in game, but not in menus.

Yeah the windows mouse acceleration is really bad, but there are some benefits to using good mouse acceleration, there are programs which allow you to fully customize the curve of the acceleration, that way you can make it so you have pretty low sens unless you move your mouse really fast in which case you can easily do a 180, so you get the perks of having low sens and high sens at the same time, I personally don’t use mouse acceleration since I have gotten used to it over the years and relearning something like that will be really hard for me, but if you are at the point where you don’t have great aim and want to improve it using mouse acceleration and getting used to it can be really nice.

I did some research after the fact & saw everyone claiming exactly as you said but I’m convinced otherwise & even IF I am WRONG.

Turn that OFF anyways. . . . . .

I’m keeping it OFF personally for peace of mind cuz my Mouse didn’t feel right which had me testing & then looking up Mouse Acceleration. Only to find out I had Mouse Acceleration turned ON.

Having said that. Even if Blizzard confirmed I am mistaken. I would STILL keep that turned OFF cuz that’s a very BIG coincidence IMO. Not even Blizzard is going to convince me otherwise.

That’s how XIM works on PS4 and after 4 years of using such. Yeah NO THANKS. That’s how Controller works via Analog. I want DPI aim not Analog or I would still be using my XIM4.
