Motion Sickness

Ever since overwatch 2 I have been unable to play the game without experiencing significant motion sickness. I really enjoyed overwatch 1 and spent many many hours playing it. Overwatch 2 is pretty much unplayable for me. I see other people have experienced this same issue. If something can be done about this it would be very much appreciated. Or can overwatch 1 be made still playable? Note: I did already try adjusting settings.

There is a setting with something to do with the camera. I believe it is in the HUD section. Try changing some things there

Sorry to hear that, that absolutely sucks. I really don’t think their accesibility options cut the mustard. Not even compared to other Blizz games.

At the moment there are a few accessibility settings you should turn down or off to see if that helps with your motion sickness.
so
options> accessibility > general> camera shake > reduced
hud shake> off

try the settings called ā€œReduce screen shakeā€ and ā€œReduce HUD movementā€. Those are in accessibility

Thank you all for the replies. It is much appreciated! I tried some adjustments…the ones in this brief YouTube video (which I believe are the same that have been recommended here). Seemed to help a little, but was still ready to put the game down after a couple rounds. Anyway, I will double check/try out these recommendations later today. Thanks again!

Try lowering your FoV. It could be that.
Playing at around 90 helped with my discomfort.

thanks for the video gonna turn that off next time I’m on

Can you let me know where I can adjust this setting? I don’t think I tried that and don’t recall seeing this setting. Thanks!

Options->Video
It’s the slider - fourth option down. 103 is default.

I don’t see that option. I see gamma correction, contrast and brightness. Just those 3. I’m on a PS4 if that makes a difference. But thanks very much for the reply.

I dont think consoles have the option to change field of view, unfortunately.

Try turning on VSYNC and capping your FPS. I also decreased my FOV a bit. That seems to have helped me with symptoms I was feeling. I also have never had any issues with headaches or other symptoms when playing ANY game FPS or not and had it with OW2.

my sister claimed that she change her fov which was 103 by default to 100 don’t know if that helps

Has anyone gotten a response from the Overwatch team about this?

That sucks my friend. I get that with pretty much every CoD and Borderlands game, so I know how you feel.

Overwatch 2 has an option to reduce camera shake. For me, I still don’t feel well playing most heroes. People would like an option to turn it off completely. It would be great to just get a comment if that will happen.

Game is just too fast now. I have to whip my camera around at crazy speeds to keep up with characters like Sojourn, Genji and Tracer with hyper mobility

Sucks that consoles cant adjust the FoV, that is the motion sickness culprit like 90% of the time.

For me, if I had to guess, it might be the camera shake
