Morning Coffee Talk Day 5

Good morning peeps, good evening to some peeps as well,
We have been doing morning coffee talks for a couple weeks now, and I’m really enjoying it. So, without further Adu, let’s get into this week’s topics shall we.

First, let’s talk about the Elephant in the room, or game rather, Mauga. I’ve played him a couple times, he seems fun to play, imo almost somewhat balanced. (I did say almost :upside_down_face:) What are some of your thoughts?

Sombra still seems to be a hot topic as well, her rework, and game play. Personally, like I’ve stated before, I feel she needs a few tweaks, but other than that, not too bad of a character. (Though I still loathe her :rofl:) Thoughts?

Another hot topic seems to be the bans, both chat, and game.
Chat Bans: Personally, I’m glad for it sometimes, especially when someone is toxic the whole game.
Qp bans: On the one hand it was semi necessary, but on the other it seems a bit much for Qp. There are a lot of reasons folks play Qp, whether it be their internet, their IRL things, or just simply waiting for friends to hop on. I’m sure there are some other reasons, but those came to the forefront of my tiny brain. Your thoughts?

Ana also seems to be a hot topic still as well. I don’t really play her much, so I don’t really have any thoughts on her either way. In low elos, she only seems (at least to me) annoying at times, other than that, not really an issue. But I guess in the higher elos, she’s a huge problem. Your thoughts?

Besides the ones that probably aren’t suitable to share on this website :eyes:; he’s really fun to play. Don’t really have any opinions balance wise cause I just play the game casually, tho he probably does need some number tweaks as all new hero releases tend to.

Very fun to play now imo, though I do still feel like her “hacker” persona was sidelined a little bit by the rework. Maybe that’s for the better since people found her hack really frustrating before, I’m not really sure.

My frustrations with Ana mostly just come down to my own stubbornness, like I know the obvious choice is to swap off Hog to something that’s better against Ana…but I wanna play Hog maaan. Is she too strong though? Idk, maybe? maybe not? I don’t really care too much, she’s just occasionally very annoying to me, but that’s not that big of a deal. I’ll leave the balance/rework discussions to people who actually care about that stuff.

I’m incapable of not being shy/anxious though ._. (at least irl, it’s a little easier to talk to strangers online, but still not “easy”)

Morning ( it’s evening here)

He is fun to play when you don’t have to fight ana. A little slow for my liking, but it reminds me of heavy from tf2 , meaning you kinda need to be pocketed a bit.

I like her, it keeps me on my toes when playing support and she is usually an aim check. Can you kill her in 2-3 shots? yes you live, no you dead.
For tweaks I guess they should make her ult more impactful and maybe take some of that smg dmg.

It depends here. I hear about people getting chat banned only because they told their teammates that the certain hero/ strategy doesn’t work or that they need to push or something silly like that.
With everybody going “this is a team game” (no it’s not) it seems a little bit bad design to ban so quickly people from communicating (excluding toxics ofc).

ana is oppressive and no matter how much people say “just bait her sleep” or “just pressure her” the average gold/plat can’t do it and it leads to frustration. For the sake of everyone just nerf the anti heal a little and let’s call it a day.

In lower elos, Mauga is a non-issue, so is ana. But I guess in the higher elos they are both equally annoying. :upside_down_face:
