This is a change I would love for OW2 at some point. The characters in OW2 have become incredibly chatty with all the voice lines and for some people it’s a bit of a headache. Right now the setting to lower character voice lines is all or nothing, so I would be unable to hear ult lines and the noises characters make when they take damage. It would be great to get an option to disable or lower non relevant to gameplay voice lines

no. u are obligated to listen to my echo say “do you mind if I record this” over and over as I kill you and your entire team.

Oh there’s already settings for that kind of voice line, squelch chat is great. I’m talking about when I’m playing a character and my own character is like continuously shouting out random things while I’m playing

P L E A S E. I have lost games because I died to a Widow when squelching my Doomfist.

what is this squelch chat thing? is it a PC only option? im on playstation
It’s a change I’ve wanted for a while with OW1 to mute anything not relevant though, it could apply to those voice lines as well - and I’m not sure if it’s only PC actually! It’s a little button next to everyone’s name when you pull up the players in match menu by pressing P, and it mutes all their voice line and communication wheel spam.
